SleekAI is for sites that want a wider AI toolkit, want to bring their own LLM key, and do not need or want the rest of the Jetpack surface.

The product shape is different on three axes. SleekAI's chat sidebar opens inside Bricks, Elementor, Gutenberg, and Oxygen, with field-level assistance for Meta Box and ACF, where Jetpack AI is centred on the block editor. Agent mode lets SleekAI call tools to make multi-step changes on a page, where Jetpack AI's surface is generation and rewriting in place. Public chatbots and bulk alt-text exist as first-class features in SleekAI; Jetpack AI does not focus there.

Pricing structure is the second difference. Jetpack AI uses a request-based model billed through Automattic on top of any Jetpack plan you carry. SleekAI is a flat-license plugin: you pay once, you bring your own provider key, and inference cost goes straight to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or OpenRouter at their published rate.

Jetpack AI Assistant is a sensible feature for sites that already run Jetpack. The plugin is there, the account is there, the billing channel is there, and adding an AI module that sits inside the same suite avoids one more vendor relationship. The catch is that the same convenience pulls AI further into the Jetpack model: Automattic-managed inference billing, a settings surface that follows Jetpack's conventions, and an editor focus that mostly stops at Gutenberg.

For teams whose AI ambitions extend past block-level rewriting (into chatbots, agent runs across a page builder, alt-text at scale, or just bringing their own LLM key) the suite shape becomes a constraint instead of a convenience. SleekAI is the opposite shape. It is a single plugin focused on AI inside WordPress, integrated deeply into Bricks, Elementor, Gutenberg, Oxygen, Meta Box, and ACF, with chatbots and alt-text as primary product surfaces and a flat license that pairs with a direct provider account.

Jetpack remains an excellent home for backups, stats, and security; the AI work increasingly lives somewhere with its own focus.
