A chart explainer is one of the most useful formats for a data team. A clean chart, a one-sentence caption, and a short commentary about what the chart means. The X share for that format should put the chart and caption together in one image, because separating them onto the post body alone loses the audience that scrolls past. Designed by hand, the chart usually lives as a Notion export and the caption lives in the post body. The card uploaded to social either has just the chart with no caption, or a generic homepage hero with no chart at all.

The template reads a chart_image attachment, a chart_caption string for the one-sentence explanation, a chart_period stamp for the time window, and a chart_commentary short field for the takeaway. A chart shared on social travels further than the post it came from, and almost always faster than the team can correct any drift.
