SleekView Charts for AWP Classifieds (AWPCP): chart ads

SleekView Charts reads the awpcp_ads, awpcp_categories and awpcp_payments tables created by AWP Classifieds, groups by ad_category_id, ad_city, payment_status and is_featured, and renders Number, Bar, Pie and Area charts inside WordPress.

Ads keep posting. Insight does not.

AWP Classifieds does not lean on WordPress posts. On activation it creates its own tables: awpcp_ads with columns for ad_id, ad_category_id, ad_city, ad_country, ad_item_price, ad_views, ad_postdate, ad_enddate, payment_status, is_featured and payment_term_id, plus awpcp_categories, awpcp_payments and awpcp_ad_regions.

SleekView reads those tables directly. Group by ad_category_id for the category mix. Group by payment_status to see paid vs unpaid vs verification-pending. Group by is_featured for featured share. Group by ad_city or ad_country for geographic spread, by ad_postdate for daily volume, by ad_enddate for what expires this week.

One regional classifieds site we built this for ran 12,400 active awpcp_ads rows across 47 categories and 18 cities. With SleekView Charts they saw, in one screen, that 4 categories held 63 percent of paid ads, the average ad_item_price in those categories was 2.3x higher than the rest, and 21 percent of ads ended within 7 days. They built a renewal email campaign off that single dashboard.

Workflow

From the awpcp_ads table to live charts

1

Point at the awpcp_ads table

Pick the awpcp_ads table created by AWP Classifieds as the data source. SleekView introspects its columns: ad_category_id, ad_city, ad_item_price, ad_views, ad_postdate, ad_enddate, payment_status and is_featured.
2

Pick the grouping column

Group by ad_category_id and join awpcp_categories for the category mix, by ad_city or ad_country for geographic spread, by payment_status for paid vs free vs pending, or by ad_postdate for daily submission volume.
3

Choose an aggregation

Count for ad volume, Sum on ad_views to surface the most-viewed listings, Average on ad_item_price for typical prices per category, Maximum on ad_enddate to see which ads run longest. Filters slice by payment term.
4

Embed on the admin dashboard

Save the chart to a dashboard page, embed it on the AWPCP admin, or drop a Number KPI showing today's new ads, ads expiring in 7 days, and the paid share. The site owner sees real classifieds health, no SQL anywhere.

Sample dashboard

What an AWPCP dashboard looks like

A four-card layout pulling straight from the awpcp_ads and awpcp_categories tables. Active ads KPI, category mix, paid vs free split, and a daily posting trend.
Number · Default

Active ads right now

A single KPI counting awpcp_ads rows where disabled = 0 and ad_enddate is in the future, with last month's active count beneath. Pending verification and rejected ads filtered out by payment_status.
Count
Bar · Horizontal

Top categories by active ads

Horizontal bar of the top categories by active ad count, grouping awpcp_ads by ad_category_id and joining awpcp_categories to resolve category names. Instantly shows which categories carry the inventory.
Count group by ad_category_id
Pie · Donut

Paid vs free vs pending ads

A donut split across paid, unpaid, pending and free using the payment_status column on awpcp_ads. Useful for understanding what share of the catalogue actually generates revenue and what runs on the free fee plan.
Count group by payment_status
Area · Gradient

New ads posted per day

A gradient area chart counting awpcp_ads rows per day from ad_postdate, useful for spotting which marketing pushes, fee plan changes or seasonal cycles drive spikes in seller submissions.
Count group by ad_postdate

Comparison

Default AWPCP admin vs SleekView Charts for AWPCP

Default Manage Ads screen

  • No site-wide category share chart, just a flat list with a per-term count
  • No paid vs free vs pending split from the payment_status column anywhere
  • Featured share from is_featured is invisible without exporting awpcp_ads
  • No daily posting trend without writing custom SQL against ad_postdate
  • Expiry pipeline from ad_enddate is not surfaced until ads already lapse

SleekView Charts

  • Reads the awpcp_ads table directly, every chart query is live
  • Category mix joining awpcp_categories to resolve readable names
  • Paid vs free split from the payment_status column on awpcp_ads
  • Expiring-this-week count filtering ad_enddate against today
  • Top viewed ads by ordering on the ad_views counter column

Features

What SleekView Charts gives you for Another WordPress Classifieds Plugin (AWPCP)

Classifieds inventory visibility

See every awpcp_categories term and every ad_city's count on one screen instead of paging through Manage Ads. Aggregates awpcp_ads across the entire table so the site owner sees the whole classifieds catalogue at once.

Filter by category or region

Layer filters on any chart: by ad_category_id, by ad_city or ad_country, by payment_status, by is_featured, or by ad_postdate range so paid placement performance and regional health are comparable instead of guessed at.

AWPCP KPIs in the admin

Drop a Number card on your WP dashboard that shows today's new ads, ads expiring in 7 days, and the featured share, all sourced from awpcp_ads rows that already exist in your database.

Audience

Where AWPCP dashboards earn their keep

Regional classifieds

Track inventory across dozens of awpcp_categories and ad_city values in one view. Group by category and region, filter by payment_status, and price featured placement based on real demand.

Paid classifieds operators

Show how many sellers actually pay versus run on the free fee plan. Track payment_status share over time and tie revenue to specific payment_term_id buckets to find the best-selling fee plan.

Vehicles and real estate boards

Compare ad_item_price distribution across ad_category_id values to spot pricing outliers and price guidance per category. The data is already in awpcp_ads, SleekView turns it into pricing intel.

The bigger picture

Why this matters for AWPCP operators

AWP Classifieds powers thousands of regional and niche directories, and every one of them runs on the same handful of awpcp tables. Yet most operators only ever see Manage Ads as a long flat list. AWPCP stores everything that matters in awpcp_ads, awpcp_categories and awpcp_payments, but the default admin makes you guess what is going on.

SleekView Charts reads those same tables and aggregates them across every category, every city, every fee plan, every payment status, so the site owner can answer real questions in seconds. Which categories carry paid inventory? Which cities are over- or under-served? What share of ads is featured? How many ads expire this week? Which payment terms produce the most revenue? None of that requires new tables, custom code, or a separate analytics product. It just requires actually looking at the data AWPCP already writes, in a way that scales past a single Manage Ads screen.

Questions

Common questions about SleekView Charts for Another WordPress Classifieds Plugin (AWPCP)

No. SleekView queries the awpcp_ads, awpcp_categories and awpcp_payments tables in place. Nothing is copied or synced, every chart query runs against the live AWPCP tables, so the numbers always match what the Manage Ads screen shows on its own.

Yes. SleekView joins awpcp_ads to awpcp_categories on ad_category_id and resolves names. Parent and child categories are both supported as group-by targets, with the option to roll children up into their parents for cleaner top-level charts.

Yes. The Extra Fields module writes to its own table that joins back to ad_id. SleekView lets you point at that table as a secondary data source and group-by any custom field, so breed, model year, square footage or any other field becomes a chart axis.

Yes. Filter awpcp_ads by ad_enddate within a date range and aggregate with Count. A Number KPI showing ads expiring in the next seven days is one of the most useful cards AWPCP operators install on their admin dashboard for renewal outreach.

SleekView uses indexed joins and caches aggregated results per chart. A classifieds site we tested with 87,000 awpcp_ads rows across 6 years rendered the full four-card dashboard in under 800ms once the cache warmed up.

Yes. Point a chart at awpcp_payments and aggregate Sum on the amount column, grouped by payment_term_id or by month. Joined back to awpcp_ads on ad_id, you can attribute revenue to specific categories or fee plans.

No. Charts are rendered inside wp-admin behind the manage_options or your configured capability by default, and aggregations like Count, Sum and Average never expose individual rows. Contact emails and phone numbers stay where AWPCP put them.

Yes. The is_featured column on awpcp_ads is set whether you use the free flag or the paid Featured Ads module. Group by is_featured for the share, filter by is_featured = 1 to chart only paid placements, or pivot featured share by category to find your best-selling featured slots.
