SleekView Charts dashboard for CleanTalk Anti-Spam

Two layers, one screen

CleanTalk does double duty. The SpamFireWall (SFW) intercepts bot traffic before it reaches WordPress and logs every block to wp_cleantalk_sfw_logs. The classic anti-spam check then handles whatever does reach the comment form, marking caught rows in wp_comments with the standard comment_approved equals 'spam' verdict.

Reviewing the two streams traditionally means jumping between screens that were never designed to share filters. SleekView reads both tables and turns them into a unified dashboard: blocks by country, comment volume, attack windows, and source IPs on one screen.

The cards update as CleanTalk writes new logs and verdicts, so security review becomes a single live view instead of two paginated lists.

Workflow

From two CleanTalk streams to one dashboard

1

Connect both CleanTalk sources

Add wp_cleantalk_sfw_logs and the spam-flagged subset of wp_comments as two SleekView datasets.
2

Build a unified Charts view

Switch to Charts. Mix SFW block counts and comment spam counts onto the same screen.
3

Group by country and IP

SFW logs carry country and IP columns; charts let you rank both. Comment-side rows expose author IPs the same way.
4

Save and share

Save the dashboard and circulate it. Security and moderation work from the same numbers.

Comparison

Default CleanTalk reporting vs SleekView Charts

Default CleanTalk admin

  • SFW logs and comment moderation live behind separate plugin pages.
  • No cross-stream view combining firewall and comment data.
  • Limited filtering on the SFW log table.
  • No ranked country or IP chart in the default UI.
  • No shareable dashboard for a security or moderation team.

SleekView Charts

  • SFW logs and wp_comments rows rendered on the same screen.
  • Country and IP ranking for fast attack-source identification.
  • Per-post comment spam ranking on top of the firewall view.
  • Time-series chart that surfaces attack waves before they overrun the queue.
  • Shareable dashboard so security and moderation share a single source of truth.

The bigger picture

Two-layer protection deserves two-layer visibility

CleanTalk's two-layer model is genuinely useful operationally: the firewall stops cheap bot traffic before it reaches WordPress, the comment check picks up the more sophisticated submissions that survive. The cost is split visibility. The CleanTalk plugin renders SFW logs and the comment queue in different places, with different filters, and review usually happens on whichever screen the operator opened first.

SleekView Charts reads both streams and renders them on one screen, so the two-layer protection finally has a two-layer dashboard.
