The plugin focuses on the visual calendar experience: list, month, week, and agenda views with shortcodes and widgets. Reporting is not the focus, which means questions about editorial cadence or organizer load have to be answered by hand.

SleekView Charts reads the Stec events CPT and its meta directly. Category, location, organizer, recurrence flag, and start date all promote to columns that any chart can group or aggregate on. The dashboard answers planning questions the calendar UI never tries to: events per category, organizer balance, edit cadence per month, location utilization.

Because reads go through standard WordPress APIs, ACF and Meta Box fields layered on top of the Stec events CPT appear as columns automatically. The chart dashboard sits as a saved view next to the SleekView table and kanban built from the same dataset.

Stachethemes Event Calendar earns its place on front-end-heavy sites where the visual calendar is the product: month grid, day list, agenda view, widgets, shortcodes. The trade-off is the admin side, which gives organizers the editor and the front-end preview but not the cross-event planning surface. A program manager wants to ask one composite question (events per category per organizer per month) without opening forty event records.

SleekView Charts treats the Stec CPT as a normal dataset and lets that question render as a four-card dashboard. Saved views become the planning ritual: Monday upcoming check, Wednesday category balance, end-of-month cadence review. The plugin keeps owning the calendar; SleekView just charts how the calendar fills up.
