SleekView Charts for Cookiebot CMP: consent rates and categories
Cookiebot stores configuration under cookiebot-cbid, cookiebot-config, and the cookiebot-ai-action-log option, while consent events flow through the WP Consent API and any logging integrations you connect. SleekView Charts reads those rows and renders consent rates, category splits, and audit activity as cards.

From cookiebot- options to a CMP performance dashboard
Cookiebot CMP keeps the banner side simple: install, paste the Domain Group ID into cookiebot-cbid, and the consent banner is live. The performance side is harder to read inside WP Admin. Consent rate, category accept ratio, geo split, and audit activity all sit in different places: the Cookiebot dashboard, the WP Consent API hooks, the cookiebot-ai-action-log entries, and any integration that mirrors consent events into the database.
SleekView Charts connects to the WordPress database and reads the cookiebot-* option keys directly: cookiebot-cbid for the active Domain Group ID, cookiebot-config for the per-region configuration, and cookiebot-ai-action-log for the rolling 50-entry audit log of AI write operations introduced in 4.7.0. When the WP Consent API is enabled, consent events also land in a queryable shape that maps directly onto chart cards.
The audit log carries timestamp, ability name, user, old value, and new value on every entry, so a Number card shows total AI-driven changes this week, a Pie splits them across ability names (set-cbid, toggle-gcm, install-ppg, and so on), and a Bar lists which users triggered them. Multiple Configurations stored under cookiebot-config let the dashboard split consent settings across the GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD banners on one screen, so a multi-region site can monitor every region without switching screens.

Comparison
Default Cookiebot admin vs SleekView Charts
Default Cookiebot admin
- The plugin admin links out to the Cookiebot dashboard for analytics rather than rendering charts inside WP Admin.
- Multiple Configurations sit in separate tabs, so region totals never share a screen with category totals.
- The cookiebot-ai-action-log option is a flat array, not a chart, so AI write activity has no trend view.
- WP Consent API rows are not visualised by the plugin at all.
- Per-role dashboards are not part of the default Cookiebot workflow.
SleekView Charts
-
Number, Pie, Bar, and Area cards built on the
cookiebot-option keys plus WP Consent API rows. - Cards can group by category, region, ability name, acting user, or any WP Consent API column.
- Date range and region filters apply across the whole dashboard so one scope drives every card.
- Audit log activity surfaces in a chart instead of a 50-entry array, with ability name and acting user as filters.
- Saved layouts scope per role so compliance and marketing dashboards stay separate.
Features
What SleekView Charts gives you for Cookiebot CMP
Chart cards on cookiebot- options
Number, Pie, Bar, Area, Line, Radar, and Radial cards drop onto cookiebot-cbid, cookiebot-config, cookiebot-ai-action-log, and WP Consent API rows. No CSV export, no manual joins.
One filter, every card
A date range or region filter applied to the dashboard scopes the accept-rate KPI, the category donut, the region bar, and the AI audit area at once. The same scope, every chart.
Role-scoped dashboards
Save separate layouts for compliance, marketing, and senior reviewers. The cookiebot-ai-action-log already records the acting user, and SleekView adds capability gates per card on top.
Audience
Who builds Cookiebot charts dashboards with SleekView
Data protection officers
Open the dashboard each week, scan accept rate and category mix, and check the AI audit area chart for unexpected configuration changes scoped to specific users.
Marketing operations
Watch marketing-category consent volume over time and compare regions side by side, so campaign measurement decisions trace back to actual consent signal.
Agency compliance leads
Hand each client a one-screen Cookiebot summary scoped to their domain group, with accept rate, category split, and audit activity on a single dashboard.
The bigger picture
Why CMP performance needs a shape, not a tab
Cookiebot writes consent data in three different shapes: configuration in cookiebot- option keys, AI write activity in cookiebot-ai-action-log, and per-visitor consent through the WP Consent API. The default admin focuses on configuration, the external Cookiebot dashboard focuses on analytics, and the audit log is a 50-entry array. None of those is a chart.
The moment a privacy team needs to compare accept rates across regions, watch category mix shift after a banner redesign, or audit who changed which setting and when, they need a dashboard shape. SleekView Charts reads the same option keys and WP Consent API rows Cookiebot already writes and renders them as Number, Pie, Bar, and Area cards. The CMP keeps doing the writing, the dashboard handles the reading.
Questions
Common questions about SleekView Charts for Cookiebot CMP
No. SleekView Charts reads only the cookiebot- option keys and any consent events stored in the local database. The external Cookiebot dashboard stays the source for cookie-scan data and global consent statistics.
Yes. When Multiple Configurations are enabled, each region's banner writes consent events with the matching data-georegions value. A Bar or Pie grouped by region renders the split across GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD banners.
Yes. When WP Consent API is enabled, consent events land in a queryable database shape. SleekView Charts groups by category, status, and timestamp directly against those rows.
Yes. The cookiebot-ai-action-log option (added in 4.7.0) keeps the last 50 entries with timestamp, ability name, acting user, and old and new values. A Bar grouped by ability name plus an Area by timestamp covers the audit view.
No. Aggregations run server-side against options and any consent table indexes. The dashboard requests aggregate buckets, not raw rows, and caches between renders.
No. SleekView Charts only reads. The cookiebot- options and consent rows stay untouched by the dashboard, which preserves the audit chain for compliance review.
Yes. Each card supports CSV export of its aggregated values, and the underlying rows are reachable via the connected SleekView grid for evidence handoffs.
Yes. Saved chart layouts respect WordPress capability checks and can layer additional capability gates per card so audit-log views stay scoped to data-protection roles.
