Forum participation is a cohort signal, not just a per-topic list
The Ultimate Member bbPress add-on integrates bbPress forums with Ultimate Member profiles: each topic and reply is a bbPress custom post (topic, reply) authored by a WordPress user, with the Ultimate Member profile rendered against that author. Topic and reply counts per user are written to usermeta keys (commonly _bbp_topic_count, _bbp_reply_count) which the add-on exposes on the profile screen. The default bbPress admin lists topics and replies as separate post screens, which is right for moderation and unhelpful for understanding forum participation across the community.
SleekView Charts reads bbPress topics and replies joined with Ultimate Member usermeta and renders the result as chart cards. A Number card counts total replies in a chosen window. A Pie shows the topic-vs-reply mix so community managers see whether members start conversations or pile into existing threads. A Bar ranks members by reply count for the most-helpful-participant shortlist. An Area trends forum activity per day so launch campaigns or stickied topics become visible.
Filters on the table (forum, date range, UM role) carry across to the chart view, so a single-forum or last-30-days dashboard narrows every card in one click. The cards read what bbPress and Ultimate Member already write.

Comparison
Default Ultimate Member bbPress reporting vs SleekView Charts
Default bbPress topic and reply screens
- Topics and replies surface only as separate post lists in admin
- No site-wide KPI for forum activity or daily cadence
- Top participants are not ranked anywhere across forums
- No cohort breakdown by UM role, account status or forum
- No way to share a read-only forum-health snapshot with stakeholders
SleekView Charts
- KPI card for total replies across all forums
- Pie of topic-vs-reply mix to surface conversation shape
- Bar of top participants for moderator-promotion shortlists
- Area trend of forum activity per day to measure campaign impact
- Filters carry between the participation audit table and the chart cards
Features
What SleekView Charts gives you for Ultimate Member bbPress
Forum activity as a dashboard
Render bbPress topics and replies linked to UM profiles as Number, Pie, Bar and Area cards so community managers see forum shape and rhythm, not only per-topic admin lists.
Participant shortlist
A Bar of author_id by reply count gives moderator-promotion and recognition programs a real, data-backed shortlist instead of a hunch about who is helpful.
Forum cadence trend
An Area on post_date shows whether stickied topics, weekly themes or campaigns actually move the topic and reply rate week over week.
Audience
Who builds Ultimate Member bbPress charts dashboards with SleekView
Community managers
Track forum activity as a KPI, identify top participants for moderator promotion and watch cadence to evaluate stickied topics, themes and campaigns.
Moderators
Filter the table to recent or flagged threads, view the participant cohort behind each card and drill into row context without rebuilding queries every time.
Forum admins
Group activity by forum_id to see which forums carry the conversation and which lag behind, then make merge, archive or promotion decisions with real data.
The bigger picture
Why forum data deserves a dashboard, not just a topic list
The Ultimate Member bbPress integration captures the data forum operators need: who started which thread, who replied and how often. The default surface places that data inside separate topic and reply admin lists, which is right for moderation actions and unhelpful for almost everything community managers do with forum data at the cohort level. A total-replies KPI anchors monthly forum reports, a top-participants Bar produces real moderator-promotion shortlists, a topic-vs-reply Pie surfaces conversation shape and an Area on post_date tells the team whether stickied topics or campaigns actually drove activity.
Same posts, same author_ids, completely different decision posture. The charts render the forum bbPress already runs as a dashboard, which is the difference between knowing topics exist and knowing how the forum is doing this quarter.
Questions
Common questions about SleekView Charts for Ultimate Member bbPress
bbPress topic and reply post types joined with wp_users and the Ultimate Member usermeta keys (account_status, role, _bbp_topic_count, _bbp_reply_count). No new tracking is introduced and no extra meta keys are created.
Yes. forum_id (stored as bbPress post meta) is a first-class filter, so a saved dashboard can scope to one forum, a forum category or any set of forums. The filter narrows every card on the page.
Yes. Group by post_date with Area or Line cards and aggregate as Count to see daily, weekly or monthly topic and reply cadence. Useful for evaluating stickied topics, campaigns and seasonal patterns.
Yes. A Bar grouped by author_id with Sum over _bbp_reply_count surfaces the most active members. Combine with UM role filters to find power users in specific tiers.
Yes. The chart view and the table view share the dataset, so a filter for last-30-days replies or for a specific forum narrows both surfaces. Managers pivot between row audit and chart summary without rebuilding filters.
Yes. SleekView views can be private to a user or shared with specific roles. A common setup is a community-manager dashboard, a moderator-only forum-health view and a read-only stakeholder snapshot for admins.
No by default. The chart dashboards are read-only over bbPress posts and UM usermeta. The accompanying table view can edit or moderate rows through bbPress and Ultimate Member hooks when explicitly enabled, but the chart surface itself never writes.
Yes. Any filtered cohort behind a chart card exports as CSV with the same columns the table view would show, including author_id, post_type, forum_id and post_date. Useful for moderator-promotion or recognition exports.
