Points data lives in user meta and logs, charts pull it together

YITH WooCommerce Points and Rewards maintains a current balance per customer in user meta and writes earn or redeem events into its own log structure. The plugin admin shows per-user balances and a flat event list, which makes program-level questions (total liability, monthly redemption rate, top earners) a manual export job.

SleekView joins the user meta keys with the event log and exposes balance, event type, and event amount as columns. Charts then aggregates them: a Number card for outstanding points, a Pie card for earn versus redeem mix, a Bar card for top customers, an Area card for monthly trends.

The dashboard runs against the same data the plugin already keeps. It doesn't try to replace YITH's redemption screens or earn rules; it surfaces the picture loyalty managers need without a CSV detour.

Workflow

From points logs to chart cards in four steps

1

Connect the users + log dataset

SleekView reads wp_users joined with wp_usermeta on the points balance key, then unions the YITH points log table for event history.
2

Surface event columns

Event type (earn or redeem), amount, related order ID, and timestamp all appear as chartable columns.
3

Add four chart cards

Number for outstanding liability, Pie for earn versus redeem mix, Bar for top earners, Area for monthly trend.
4

Save the loyalty dashboard

Save it as a SleekView view. Loyalty managers reopen it weekly without rebuilding any query.

Comparison

Default YITH Points and Rewards reporting vs SleekView Charts

Default YITH Points and Rewards admin

  • Per-user balances live on the user profile, not in any aggregated screen.
  • Total outstanding points liability requires a custom SQL or spreadsheet sum.
  • Earn versus redeem split over time isn't a default chart.
  • Top earners list needs an export and a pivot in another tool.
  • Monthly program trends aren't surfaced inside the WP admin.

SleekView Charts

  • Reads wp_usermeta and the YITH points log directly as one dataset.
  • Group by event type, event date, or user email for any chart card.
  • Number cards aggregate liability or redemption value in a single metric.
  • Area and Line cards plot monthly trends straight from event timestamps.
  • Saved view stays alongside the customer Table and order Kanban.

The bigger picture

Loyalty programs only work when their numbers are visible

A points program that no one charts becomes a black box: earn events keep accumulating, redemption sits unobserved, and the balance ages into a quiet liability. The data is already in the database, and SleekView Charts reads it where it sits. A liability KPI, an earn-versus-redeem donut, a top-earner bar, and a monthly stacked area card cover the questions a loyalty owner asks every week.

The plugin still owns the redemption flow and the earn rules; SleekView Charts gives the program a real reporting surface that updates the moment a new event is logged.

Questions

Common questions about SleekView Charts for YITH WooCommerce Points and Rewards

From wp_usermeta. YITH stores the current per-customer balance under a meta key, which SleekView reads directly as a chartable column.

Yes. The plugin's points log table (or the equivalent log post type, depending on version) joins to the user dataset so event type, amount, and date are columns.

Yes. Add a view-level filter on event_type for earn or redeem, and every chart card on the dashboard inherits it.

Tier and rule names appear as columns where the plugin records them, so a chart can group by tier. The rules themselves are still configured in YITH.

No. Charts only render in the admin and read existing tables. The earn and redeem flow on the storefront keeps running unchanged.

Expiry events appear in the log with their own type, so the redeem-versus-earn donut can include or exclude expirations depending on the filter set.

Yes. The Number card's underlying view exports to CSV, with per-customer balance rows included for audit.

No. Earn rules, redemption rates, and tier configuration stay in the YITH plugin. SleekView Charts visualises the resulting data.
