SleekView Feedback for Link Whisper

Link Whisper writes every internal link suggestion, orphan report, and broken anchor into its own database tables. SleekView Feedback turns those rows into a sortable, votable board so editors and SEOs can triage suggestions, kill weak ones, and ship the strong ones with a shared opinion.

SleekView Feedback board for Link Whisper

From queued link suggestions to a live editorial vote

Link Whisper scans every post on save and writes suggestion rows to wp_lw_link_suggestions, orphan posts to wp_lw_orphan_posts, and broken anchors to its own tables. On a busy publication that queue grows fast. The plugin shows a paginated list inside wp-admin sorted by relevance score, but editors have no way to share a verdict, SEOs cannot prioritize without exporting CSVs, and clients never see what they signed off on.

SleekView Feedback reads those same tables, or any saved query against wp_posts and postmeta, and renders one card per suggestion. Each card has a title (the source plus target post), a vote count, a category pill (suggestion, orphan, broken anchor, deep link request), and a status pill (queued, accepted, rejected, shipped). Editors land on one page, upvote the ones to ship, flag bad anchor text, and move on.

Votes write back to whichever column you map, so when Link Whisper next bulk applies suggestions it can be sorted by editorial score, not by Link Whisper relevance alone. The result is internal linking guided by the team, not by an algorithm running in silence.

Workflow

From Link Whisper suggestions to a board

1

Point at the Link Whisper source

Choose a Link Whisper table (suggestions, orphans, broken anchors) or write a join across them. Filter to suggestions above a relevance threshold, to orphans older than a month, or to a single content silo so the board stays focused on what the team is reviewing this week.
2

Map vote, status, category

Pick the column SleekView increments on each upvote (often a new editorial_score column on the suggestion row), point status at a workflow column, and use the suggestion type or content silo as the colored category pill on every card on the board.
3

Embed on the SEO dashboard

Drop the SleekView block on an internal SEO dashboard or expose it on a client review page. Each card shows source post, target post, anchor text preview, vote count, status pill, and category tag, all filterable by silo, status, and date.
4

Votes write back to Link Whisper

Every upvote increments the column you mapped. Link Whisper bulk apply can then sort by editorial score before relevance, so the suggestions your team actually approved get inserted first and the noisy ones drop to the bottom of the queue.

Comparison

Link Whisper screens vs SleekView Feedback

Link Whisper admin tables

  • Suggestions sit in a paginated admin table sorted only by relevance score
  • No way for editors or SEOs to vote on which suggestions deserve to ship
  • Orphan posts and broken anchors live in separate screens with no shared queue
  • Client review of internal linking happens over screenshots or CSV exports
  • Bulk apply runs against the Link Whisper score, not against editorial signal

SleekView Feedback

  • One card per suggestion with source post, target post, vote count, and category tag
  • Upvote writes back to an editorial_score column Link Whisper bulk apply can read
  • Filter by suggestion type, content silo, status pill, or relevance threshold
  • Mix suggestions, orphans, and broken anchors on one board with color coded pills
  • Works against the live wp_lw_* tables, no parallel SleekView database needed

Features

What SleekView Feedback gives you for Link Whisper

Vote on every suggestion

Editors and SEOs see the full Link Whisper queue sorted by editorial score. One click upvotes a strong suggestion, one click rejects a weak one. Votes persist on the suggestion row so the next bulk apply respects the team verdict instead of relevance alone.

Triage orphans and broken anchors

Mix orphan posts and broken anchor reports onto the same board as fresh suggestions. Each card carries a category pill so the team can filter to orphans on Tuesday and broken anchors on Thursday without flipping between admin screens.

Two way sync with Link Whisper

Votes, status changes, and category edits write straight back to the Link Whisper tables. Nothing lives in a parallel database, so existing Link Whisper reports, bulk apply runs, and CSV exports all see the editorial verdict in the same column they already read.

Audience

Three ways teams run Link Whisper boards

SEO weekly triage

Surface the week of Link Whisper suggestions on one board. The SEO lead upvotes the ones with the right anchor text, downvotes the spammy ones, and the next bulk apply only ships the green ones.

Client sign off

Agencies expose the board to the client with a read mostly setup. Clients see exactly which internal links are queued, approve the ones they like, and the team has a paper trail of who agreed to what before bulk apply runs.

Orphan rescue sprints

Filter the board to orphan posts only. Editors vote on which orphans deserve a link from a pillar page, the team assigns owners, and the count of unloved posts drops sprint by sprint with a visible score on each card.

The bigger picture

Why Link Whisper needs an editorial vote layer

Link Whisper is the default internal linking tool on tens of thousands of WordPress sites because it actually works. The trade off is that its suggestion queue grows faster than any team can review. By month three you have thousands of relevance scored suggestions, hundreds of orphan reports, and a backlog of broken anchors nobody owns.

The plugin shows everything in admin tables sorted by relevance score, but relevance is not the same as editorial fit. The wrong anchor text on a high authority page can hurt rankings, not help them. SleekView Feedback puts a shared vote layer on top of that queue.

Editors and SEOs see one card per suggestion, can upvote the ones that match brand voice, reject the ones with bad anchor text, and leave a public record of why each suggestion shipped or died. Clients on retainer get the same board in read mostly mode, so internal linking decisions stop being a black box. Most importantly, votes write back to a Link Whisper column the plugin already reads, so bulk apply respects the team verdict.

Questions

Common questions about SleekView Feedback for Link Whisper

No. SleekView writes votes to a column you choose on the suggestion row. Link Whisper bulk apply keeps running as before, you just configure it to sort by your editorial score column first. Suggestions with low scores stay at the bottom of the queue.

Yes. Point SleekView at a UNION of the Link Whisper tables, or define multiple sources. Each row gets a category pill (suggestion, orphan, broken anchor) so the team can filter to one type at a time or triage them together.

Each card surfaces the suggested anchor text from Link Whisper. Editors can vote up the suggestion with the best anchor variant and downvote the others. If you store anchor variants in their own column, the board renders one card per variant for granular review.

Most teams add an integer editorial_score column to the Link Whisper suggestions table, or use a meta key on the source post. SleekView writes through to whichever column you map, so Link Whisper bulk apply, your reports, and SleekView all see the same number.

Yes. Drop the SleekView block on a logged in client page, restrict by role, and the client sees a read mostly version of the board. You can let them vote with one vote per user, or restrict votes to your internal SEO team only.

The board paginates and supports filters by content silo, status, and date. Most teams filter to a single silo, triage that batch, then move on. Saved views let editors return to the same filtered queue without rebuilding the filter chain each week.

Yes. SleekView exposes a CSV and JSON export with vote count, status, category, and author for every card. Teams pipe the approved subset into a sheet that the bulk apply job consumes the next morning.

Yes. SleekView reads schema on first connection and caches column names. If Link Whisper renames a column in an update you re-map the field once in SleekView. No code change, no plugin patching, no broken board after upgrades.
