The full Breakdance footprint in one table
Breakdance saves its layout data as a JSON tree in postmeta under keys like _breakdance_data on each page or post. Templates use the breakdance_template custom post type with conditions metadata that determines where each template applies, and global blocks live as another CPT with their own reference patterns. The default WordPress admin lists pages, templates, and global blocks across separate screens with no cross-source view.
SleekView merges the three sources into one queryable table with title, type, status, template condition, last edited, and author as proper columns. Filter to Breakdance-built pages only. Filter templates by condition to audit which URLs each template covers. Filter global blocks by reference count to find blocks no template uses anymore. Sort by last edited to surface stale layouts in batches.
Inline edits to status, slug, and author write through standard WordPress update calls so any Breakdance cache hooks fire as designed. The layout JSON in _breakdance_data stays untouched (that's the Breakdance editor's job) but the surrounding metadata is housekeeping-safe.

Features
What SleekView gives you for Breakdance Pro
Three sources, one view
Breakdance pages, breakdance_template entries, and global blocks land in the same filterable table. Three-screen audits become one saved view per audit type.
Template conditions visible
See exactly which URLs each template covers as a filterable column. Coverage gaps surface as a filter, not a hunt through the Breakdance template conditions panel.
Inline metadata edits
Change status, slug, and author from the row for housekeeping. The layout JSON in _breakdance_data stays untouched; only surrounding metadata changes.

Agencies
Audit Breakdance client sites without flipping between three admin screens. Per-client saved views make audit deliverables a recurring routine across the agency.
In-house teams
Track which templates cover which sections of the site from one workspace. Coverage gaps become a filter, not a hidden detail in the Breakdance conditions panel.
Site owners
Find global blocks no template references and stale pages from previous campaigns. Pruning becomes a quarterly habit instead of a pre-launch scramble.
The bigger picture
Why Breakdance sites accumulate audit debt
Breakdance positions itself as a developer-friendly builder with a clean storage model and a strong template system, which is exactly why agencies running content-heavy sites adopt it. The trade-off is operational footprint: pages with _breakdance_data postmeta, the breakdance_template custom post type, global blocks as another CPT, and template conditions that determine which template applies where. The default WordPress admin lists those across three separate screens.
Templates target URLs that no longer exist after a content restructure. Global blocks orphan when their parent templates are deleted. Stale campaign pages sit forgotten in the database.
None of this is Breakdance's fault, it's the operational debt that any rich builder accumulates without an audit surface. A merged audit table changes the cost of that audit fundamentally. Three sources become one filterable workspace.
Template coverage becomes a column instead of a hidden panel. Orphan global blocks surface as a saved view filter. Agencies handing off Breakdance sites to new teams use this as a deliverable; in-house teams use it as the quarterly audit they finally have time to run.
Questions
Common questions about SleekView for Breakdance Pro
In wp_postmeta as a JSON tree under _breakdance_data on each page or post. Templates and global blocks live in their own custom post types (breakdance_template and the global-block CPT) with conditions metadata stored alongside. SleekView reads all three sources directly.
No. Layout content (the JSON in _breakdance_data) is still edited inside the Breakdance editor where the visual interface, element settings, and design controls live. SleekView edits status, slug, author, and template conditions that surround the layout. The JSON itself never gets touched.
Yes. Each breakdance_template entry's conditions show as a filterable column. Find templates targeting URLs that no longer exist or see which URLs have no template coverage. The audit takes one filter instead of opening the conditions panel per template.
Yes. Both store layouts the same way (postmeta JSON, breakdance_template CPT, global block CPT for Pro features). SleekView reads from the same posts and postmeta in both cases without any version-specific configuration.
Yes. Filter the global block view by reference count equals zero to surface blocks no template uses anymore. Orphan blocks inflate the database and confuse the next person who opens the editor. Pruning them is a high-value, low-risk audit task.

Yes. SleekView is read-mostly and inline edits use standard WordPress update calls. The _breakdance_data JSON is never touched, which means the front-end render and the visual editor behave exactly as before. Any Breakdance cache invalidation hooks still fire on metadata changes.
Yes. Every saved view exports to CSV with your visible columns. Agencies use stale-pages, orphan-blocks, and template-coverage exports as recurring client audit deliverables; in-house teams use them as redesign planning inputs.
Breakdance allows multiple templates to target overlapping conditions, with priority rules determining which applies. SleekView surfaces each template's conditions in the grid so spotting overlaps becomes a filter pass instead of inferring conflicts from the panel. Conflicts get resolved before they cause front-end inconsistencies.
