SleekView for Classified Listing Pro: listings as tables

Classified Listing Pro uses the rtcl_listing custom post type with price, location, expiry, and pricing-plan data in wp_postmeta, plus an rtcl_order CPT for paid listings. SleekView joins them into one admin grid.

Pivot rtcl_listing postmeta into proper columns

Classified Listing Pro models a classifieds platform with the rtcl_listing custom post type for adverts and the rtcl_order custom post type for paid promotions. Price, location, video URL, ad type, expiry, and pricing-plan assignment live in wp_postmeta against each rtcl_listing. The default WordPress posts list cannot show any of those, so the columns operators actually act on are always one click deeper than they need to be.

SleekView reads rtcl_listing and pivots price, _rtcl_price_type, _rtcl_ad_type, _rtcl_location, _rtcl_video_urls, and _rtcl_pricing_id into named columns at query time. Categories from rtcl_category and locations from rtcl_location attach as filterable taxonomy joins. Orders from rtcl_order link back by listing ID to surface payment status inline.

The grid matches how classifieds platforms run day to day. Filter to active listings expiring in seven days with no renewal order, sort by category and price band, bulk-mark expired listings to draft overnight, and update _rtcl_ad_type in bulk for a featured campaign. Writes route through wp_update_post and update_post_meta so Classified Listing Pro's expiry, order, and notification hooks fire correctly.

Workflow

From rtcl_listing and rtcl_order to a desk

1

Map the CPTs

Point SleekView at rtcl_listing and rtcl_order. Title, author, status, and date detect automatically along with the postmeta keys for price, ad type, location, and expiry.
2

Pivot postmeta and join orders

Promote price, _rtcl_ad_type, _rtcl_location, and _rtcl_pricing_id to columns. rtcl_category attaches as a filter, and rtcl_order joins by listing ID for payment status.
3

Save the workflows

Build views for moderation, paid renewals, featured campaigns, and per-submitter dashboards. Capability gating means each role only sees the slice they own.
4

Edit and bulk update inline

Extend expiry, change ad type, move pending to publish, demote expired rows. Writes route through standard WordPress post APIs so Classified Listing Pro's expiry and order hooks fire correctly.

Comparison

Default Classified Listing Pro admin vs SleekView

Default Classified Listing Pro admin

  • Listings show as a generic rtcl_listing posts list, no postmeta columns by default
  • price, _rtcl_ad_type, _rtcl_pricing_id live in postmeta and are not visible
  • Orders from rtcl_order do not aggregate as a payment-status column on the listing row
  • Bulk-updating _rtcl_ad_type across many listings means per-row clicks
  • Filtering by category + ad type + expiry together is not a built-in saved view

SleekView

  • Pivot rtcl_listing postmeta into named columns
  • Join rtcl_order back to listing ID for payment status inline
  • Filter by category, ad type, price band, location, and expiry together
  • Inline-edit _rtcl_ad_type, _rtcl_pricing_id, and post_status in bulk
  • Save per-submitter views gated by capability

Features

What SleekView gives you for Classified Listing Pro

Pivot postmeta and join orders

price, _rtcl_ad_type, _rtcl_location, and _rtcl_pricing_id become named columns. rtcl_order joins back by listing ID so payment status surfaces inline.

Category and ad-type filters

Combine category, ad type, price band, location, and expiry in one filter. Save it as Active Premium listings expiring this week or Pending Free submissions and reload exactly that slice.

Bulk renewals and featured pushes

Extend expiry, change ad type, move pending listings to publish, demote expired rows in bulk. Writes go through standard WordPress post APIs so Classified Listing Pro's expiry and order hooks fire correctly.

Audience

Who uses SleekView for Classified Listing Pro

Classifieds operators

All listings with category, price, ad type, and expiry inline. A daily moderation pass and a weekly renewals report turn into saved views rather than per-row editor clicks.

Billing admins

Filter by payment status from rtcl_order and expiry on rtcl_listing to surface unpaid expired listings or paid renewals due. Bulk-extend expiry inline.

Moderators

Pending listings filtered with submitter, category, and ad type visible. Approve, reject, or mark spam from the row without opening each editor in the daily submissions queue.

The bigger picture

Why classifieds platforms outgrow the default list

Classified Listing Pro is built to run real classifieds platforms, with paid promotions, pricing plans, and categorisation all modelled cleanly as CPTs and postmeta. That architecture scales well technically but pushes the operational cost onto the admin. The columns operators care about (ad type, expiry, payment status, pricing plan) all live in postmeta or in a separate rtcl_order post type, and the default WordPress posts list cannot show any of them.

Renewal admins cannot see paid versus unpaid expiry at a glance, moderators cannot combine category and ad type in one filter, and featured campaign managers cannot bulk-toggle ad type across a roster. SleekView pivots those keys into proper columns at query time and joins rtcl_order back to rtcl_listing by listing ID so payment status appears inline. Saved views replace per-row editor rituals, capability gating routes each team to its own slice, and CSV exports hand billing or marketing the exact columns they need.

The classifieds platform finally has a workspace that matches the work.

Questions

Common questions about SleekView for Classified Listing Pro

It uses the rtcl_listing and rtcl_order custom post types with all field data in wp_postmeta. SleekView pivots those long-format meta rows into proper named columns and joins orders back to listings by ID.

Yes. Any meta key registered through Classified Listing Pro's custom field manager becomes a column or filter. Once promoted, fields behave the same as built-in columns for sort, filter, inline edit, and CSV export.

Yes. rtcl_category and rtcl_location attach as filterable joinable columns. Combine category with location, ad type, and expiry in one saved view to scope to a specific slice.

Yes. Writes go through wp_update_post and update_post_meta so any action or filter the plugin registers (expiry notifications, ad-type upgrades, order status hooks) runs exactly as on a manual edit.

Yes. Orders join back to rtcl_listing by listing ID so payment status promotes to an inline column. Filter by payment status to find unpaid expired listings or paid renewals waiting on processing.

Yes. Save a view filtered by post_author = current_user_id and gate it by capability so each submitter only sees their own listings. The same row-level data is scoped per account.

Yes. Any saved view exports to CSV with the chosen columns from rtcl_listing and joined rtcl_order rows. Billing pulls renewals, support pulls moderation reports, and ops pulls featured rosters without leaving WP Admin.

The user dashboard is a frontend page for owners managing their own listings via a shortcode template. SleekView is an admin-side workspace for moderators and operators with bulk edits, cross-CPT joins, and saved capability-gated views the user dashboard does not provide.
