SleekView for Directorist: listings as tables
Directorist stores listings as a custom post type with rich category, location, and plan meta. SleekView turns those records into a real admin grid for directory operators running multiple directory types.

Manage thousands of listings without scrolling
Directorist registers the at_biz_dir custom post type and stores listing data as postmeta plus taxonomy terms for category, location, and tags. Plan, expiry, featured status, and any custom listing field defined in the form builder live alongside that. The default admin list shows fixed columns by default and hides everything else behind tabs, which breaks down the moment you have a few hundred listings spread across multiple directory types.
SleekView queries the at_biz_dir post type directly along with its meta and taxonomies. Type, location, plan, expiry, and any custom field become sortable columns or filters. Operators running a multi-directory site can build a view per directory type with the columns relevant to that segment.
Inline edits write through Directorist's normal save paths. Front-end search, category archives, map markers, and listing detail pages all refresh exactly as they do when you edit through the plugin's own screens. Bulk renew or feature flips a campaign launch from a half-day click-fest into a five-minute task.

The bigger picture
Why multi-directory operators need a real grid
Running a single Directorist directory is manageable through the default admin. Running three or four directory types on the same site is not. A wellness and services directory operator with two thousand listings across yoga studios, plumbers, restaurants, and retail shops needs to see expiring listings across all four types in one view, not across four separate filtered admin pages.
Sales teams chasing renewals need to know who is on Pro versus Featured this month and who has paid for an upgrade that has not been activated. None of that is queryable through Directorist's default admin. The data sits in postmeta, but the UI shows it one record at a time.
SleekView gives operators a working surface that matches how they actually run the directory. Front-end search, the listing detail templates, the map widget, and the category archives all keep working through their normal Directorist paths. The grid only changes how operators read and edit their data.
The directory itself behaves identically to before.
Questions
Common questions about SleekView for Directorist
Yes. Each directory type can have its own view with relevant columns and filters. A wellness directory shows certifications and service area, a restaurant directory shows cuisine and price range. Operators running multi-directory sites stop fighting one-size-fits-all admin columns.
Yes. Any custom field defined in Directorist's form builder, whether a text input, dropdown, multi-checkbox, or file upload, becomes a column or filter. Custom fields stop hiding behind tabs and become first-class operator data instead of hidden record details.
Yes. Select rows and update plan or expiry across many listings at once. Useful after a payment run when you need to renew thirty Pro plans, or when extending a deadline for a bulk renewal campaign. Edits write back through Directorist's save paths.
Yes. SleekView is admin-only and does not change front-end behavior at all. Listing search, category archives, the map widget, and the listing detail pages all keep working exactly as configured. Inline edits write back through Directorist's normal save paths so the front end stays in sync.
Yes. Save a view for Expiring next 30 days to drive renewals. Sort by expiry date, filter to Pro and Featured plans, and hand the list to your sales team for renewal outreach. You can also bulk extend expiry during a paid promotion.
Yes. Filtered views export to CSV with the columns you choose. Useful for delivering a list of expiring renewals to the sales team, sharing approved listings with a partner network, or backing up a directory type before a bulk update.
Yes. Claim status and review counts are stored as postmeta and SleekView exposes them as columns and filters. Build a view of pending claim requests, sort by review count to surface engagement leaders, and bulk approve or reject claims after verification. Front-end claim notifications still fire.
Yes. Plan-related fields, including plan expiry, payment status, and featured status, are exposed as columns and filters. Sort listings by plan to see Pro versus Free distribution, build views for upcoming downgrades, and audit which listings paid for an upgrade that has not been activated.
