SleekView table view for Anywhere Elementor

Every Anywhere Elementor template and embed in one grid

Anywhere Elementor uses the elementor_library custom post type to store reusable templates and exposes them as shortcodes (typically [elementor-template id="123"]) you can drop into any post, page, or theme location. The default WP admin shows templates in one screen and the posts that embed them in another, with no connection between them.

SleekView reads wp_posts filtered to post_type=elementor_library for the template inventory, and uses a contains-text filter on post_content in wp_posts to find every post that embeds a given template ID. Pin saved views per template to see exactly where it's used. Group embeds by host post type (post, page, custom). Filter by status, author, and last edited.

Inline edits to template metadata (status, title, author) run through wp_update_post so Elementor hooks fire normally. The template layout JSON inside _elementor_data stays untouched. CSV export of any audit slice acts as a client deliverable or internal record of template usage across the site.

Workflow

From scattered templates to one embed inventory

1

Index the template library

SleekView scans wp_posts for post_type=elementor_library and surfaces every template in one queryable table.
2

Join embed counts

A contains-text scan on wp_posts.post_content counts shortcode references per template. Orphan templates with zero embeds become a saved view.
3

Save audit views

Pin views for orphan templates, over-used templates, and stale templates. Each view persists per user and updates as new content lands.
4

Inline edit and export

Update template status, title, or author from the row. Export any filtered slice as CSV for client reports or internal audits.

A typical Anywhere Elementor view

Templates and the posts that embed them, joined into one workspace.

Comparison

Default Anywhere Elementor admin vs SleekView

Default Anywhere Elementor admin

  • Templates and the posts that embed them live in different admin screens
  • No usage count column on the elementor_library list
  • No straightforward way to find orphan templates (zero embeds)
  • Last edited and author are absent from default lists
  • Auditing embeds requires SQL on post_content for shortcode IDs

SleekView

  • Embed count per template joined from wp_posts.post_content
  • Saved views for active templates, orphan templates, and recently changed templates
  • Inline edit template status, title, and author
  • Filter by author or last edited to find drafts or stale templates
  • CSV export of any filtered slice for client reports

Features

What SleekView gives you for Anywhere Elementor

Templates and embeds together

Every Elementor template plus a per-template embed count joined from wp_posts.post_content. One filter chip surfaces orphan templates with zero embeds.

Audit-ready filters

Pin saved views for orphan templates, stale templates, and active templates with high embed counts. Each view persists per user and per role.

Inline edits

Update template status, title, and author from the row. The template layout JSON inside _elementor_data stays the Elementor editor's responsibility.

Audience

Who uses SleekView for Anywhere Elementor

Agencies

Audit client sites for orphan templates and over-used templates before a redesign. Per-client saved views make handover reports a one-click export.

Editorial teams

Track which CTA or promo templates are embedded where. Per-template embed counts replace the manual scan through post content.

Site owners

Spot templates nobody embeds anymore and retire them. Routine housekeeping prevents the template debt that builds up across years of campaigns.

The bigger picture

Why template debt builds up on Anywhere Elementor sites

Anywhere Elementor makes it easy to build a reusable block once and drop it into a dozen posts. That convenience is exactly what creates template debt over time. After a year of campaigns, a typical site has CTA blocks, promo strips, signup forms, and footer experiments scattered across the elementor_library CPT, most of them embedded somewhere, some of them not embedded anywhere anymore.

The default Elementor template list shows the templates but not their usage counts. The default post list shows the content but not which templates it embeds. A queryable inventory joins the two.

Templates with zero embeds become a saved view ready to retire. Templates with dozens of embeds become an obvious candidate for editorial review before any change. Agencies use the grid for handover deliverables; in-house teams use it before a redesign to plan which templates survive and which get archived.

The audit cost drops to the cost of opening the table.

Questions

Common questions about SleekView for Anywhere Elementor

Templates live in wp_posts under post_type=elementor_library, with the layout JSON in wp_postmeta under _elementor_data. Shortcode embeds appear in post_content on the host post. SleekView reads all of it directly.

Yes. SleekView counts shortcode references like [elementor-template id="123"] across wp_posts.post_content and joins the count to the template row. Orphan templates show a zero, and over-used templates surface immediately.

No. The template layout JSON stays the Elementor editor's responsibility. Inline edits in SleekView touch post-level fields (status, title, author) through wp_update_post only.

Yes. The elementor_library CPT is shared between Elementor core, Elementor Pro, and Anywhere Elementor. SleekView treats them as one inventory regardless of which plugin created the template.

Yes. Every saved view exports to CSV with the columns on screen. Agencies use the export as a client deliverable; in-house teams archive it as a quarterly template audit.

No. The contains-text filter on post_content is paginated and indexed by post type. Sites with tens of thousands of posts can run the audit in seconds rather than minutes.

Theme-location-based template assignments live in plugin options or theme settings rather than post content. SleekView surfaces shortcode-based embeds, which is the Anywhere Elementor flow. Theme builder location assignments are handled via the standard Elementor Pro screen.

Yes. SleekView is read-mostly. Inline edits go through the standard WordPress update path so Elementor hooks fire normally. The grid never writes inside _elementor_data.
