SleekView for FileBird Pro: folders and attachments as tables

FileBird Pro stores its folder tree in wp_fbv and folder-to-attachment links in wp_fbv_attachment_folder. SleekView reads both, joined to wp_posts, as a real table.

SleekView table view for FileBird Pro

Folder libraries as a cross-folder audit screen

FileBird Pro (by NinjaTeam) maintains its own folder tree in wp_fbv and a join table wp_fbv_attachment_folder that links each attachment to a folder. The default plugin admin renders a familiar folder browser sidebar over the standard media grid, which is great for navigation but harder for cross-folder questions.

SleekView reads the folder tree and the join table and joins both to wp_posts attachments and the standard attachment postmeta. Folder path, MIME type, file size, uploader, and upload date become first-class columns. Saved views like "heavy assets by folder", "folders over a size threshold", or "PDFs by contributor across folders" cut the per-folder click path down to one screen.

Inline folder reassignment routes through FileBird's API so the plugin's caches and any custom listeners (cloud sync, audit logs) keep working. Bulk-move uses the same path, with conflict detection if a direct write is preferred. Cloud sync stays a FileBird feature, SleekView only reflects the local folder state.

Workflow

How SleekView reads FileBird Pro data

1

Pick the source

Point SleekView at wp_fbv and wp_fbv_attachment_folder joined to wp_posts attachments and the standard attachment postmeta.
2

Compose columns

Add folder path, MIME type, file size, uploader, dimensions, and upload date. Hide what is not needed for the audit.
3

Save and scope per role

Name views like "Heavy videos in Campaigns" or "PDFs by contributor" and gate them by capability so marketing, maintainers, and editorial each see their slice.
4

Edit inline or bulk-update

Bulk-move attachments across folders or edit alt text in the row. Writes route through FileBird's API so plugin caches stay valid.

Sample columns

Comparison

Default FileBird Pro admin vs SleekView

Default FileBird Pro admin

  • Folder browser hides per-folder size and type until you click in
  • Cannot sort attachments by file size across folders
  • MIME type is not surfaced as a filterable column in the grid
  • Bulk actions stay on standard WordPress media operations
  • No saved per-role view for marketing, ops, or finance

SleekView

  • Read wp_fbv and wp_fbv_attachment_folder joined to attachments
  • Folder path, MIME type, file size, and uploader as real columns
  • Sort attachments by size across folders to catch oversized assets
  • Save filtered views per role and team
  • Inline-move through FileBird's API so plugin caches and hooks fire normally

Features

What SleekView gives you for FileBird Pro

Folder as a real column

SleekView reads wp_fbv and the join table and renders the folder path next to MIME type, file size, and uploader as first-class columns.

Cross-folder filters

Combine folder, MIME type, file size, and upload date. Saved views answer "heavy videos in any campaign folder" in one click.

Inline moves through plugin API

Bulk-move attachments to a different folder from the row. Writes use FileBird's API so plugin caches and any cloud-sync listeners stay in sync.

Audience

Who uses SleekView for FileBird Pro

Marketing teams

Audit campaign folders by size and contributor before launch. The folder column doubles as a campaign filter without leaving the screen.

Site maintainers

Sort oversized assets across the whole library and bulk-move them to a cold-storage folder. The size column makes triage obvious.

Editorial leads

Save a PDFs-by-contributor view across press folders. Useful for migration audits and contributor reports.

The bigger picture

Why this matters for folder-based libraries

FileBird Pro scales technically because it isolates the folder tree in its own tables and avoids touching wp_term_taxonomy, which keeps the folder browser fast. The default admin does not scale operationally because the browser hides per-folder size and type until each folder is clicked, and there is no way to sort the whole library by size or MIME type. Marketing wants per-campaign audits, maintainers want oversized-asset triage, and editorial wants contributor reports across folders.

None of those views are easy in the stock UI. SleekView changes that by joining the folder tables to attachments and postmeta and exposing every field as a sortable, filterable column. Inline moves use FileBird's API so plugin caches and any cloud-sync listeners stay in sync.

The result is a single auditable screen for the folder-library work the browser sidebar made tedious.
