SleekView table view for Ultimate Member bbPress

Move topics and replies out of separate admin lists and into one audit table

The Ultimate Member bbPress add-on integrates bbPress forums with Ultimate Member profiles: each topic and reply is a bbPress custom post (topic, reply) authored by a WordPress user, with the Ultimate Member profile rendered against that author. Topic and reply counts per user are written to usermeta keys (commonly _bbp_topic_count, _bbp_reply_count) which the add-on exposes on the profile screen. The default bbPress admin lists topics and replies as separate post screens, which is right for moderation actions and unhelpful for understanding forum participation across the community.

SleekView reads bbPress topic and reply post types joined with wp_users and Ultimate Member usermeta and renders them as a single audit table. Filter to last-7-days replies for daily moderation, sort by author for power-user shortlists, group by forum_id to see which forums carry the conversation. The same dataset the chart view aggregates becomes a row-level surface for moderators and forum admins.

bbPress and Ultimate Member keep owning topic editing, replies and profile rendering. The table view owns the audit surface, so participation stops hiding inside two separate admin lists.

Workflow

How SleekView surfaces UM bbPress data

1

Point at topics and replies

Pick bbPress topic and reply post types joined with wp_users and the Ultimate Member usermeta keys (account_status, role, _bbp_topic_count, _bbp_reply_count). Each row carries post_id, author_id, forum_id and post_date.
2

Compose the columns

Drag in Author, Type, Forum, Title, UM role, Replies and Posted. Reorder, hide or rename any column without writing manage_posts_columns callbacks.
3

Filter and sort like a database

Filter to last-7-days replies, to one forum for forum-admin review or to authors with high _bbp_reply_count. Sort by post_date for the moderation queue.
4

Save and gate the view

Name the view ("Daily forum queue", "Top participants", "Forum X audit") and gate by WordPress capability so community managers, moderators and forum admins each land on their slice.

Comparison

Default UM bbPress admin vs SleekView

Default bbPress topic and reply screens

  • Topics and replies surface only as separate post lists in admin
  • No unified queue mixing both post types in one cohort table
  • UM role, forum_id and author counts are not sortable together
  • Moderation review across forums requires opening each list separately
  • Saved views per forum or per moderator are not part of the add-on

SleekView

  • Topics and replies rendered as rows in one queryable table
  • Author, post_type, forum_id, UM role and post_date as real columns
  • Filter to last-7-days replies, one forum or a power-user cohort
  • Saved views per role: community manager, moderator, forum admin
  • Same dataset the chart view aggregates, so table and dashboard stay in sync

Features

What SleekView gives you for Ultimate Member bbPress

Participation as a real table

Render bbPress topics and replies in one grid with author, forum and UM role columns instead of switching between two admin screens to reconstruct the queue.

Composable forum filters

Stack filters on forum_id, post_type, UM role and post_date to build moderation queues, top-participant shortlists or forum-health slices in one query.

Recency inline

post_date sits on every row so the table answers when each topic or reply happened, not just that the forum has content.

Audience

Who uses SleekView for Ultimate Member bbPress

Moderators

Filter to last-24-hours replies across all forums and triage the queue without flipping between the bbPress topic and reply admin screens.

Community managers

Save a top-participants view ranked by reply count for moderator-promotion shortlists, recognition emails or featured-member rotations.

Forum admins

Group by forum_id to see which forums carry conversation and which lag, then make merge, archive or promotion decisions with the row context inline.

The bigger picture

Why forum participation needs one table, not two admin lists

The Ultimate Member bbPress integration captures the data forum operators need: who started which thread, who replied and how often. The default surface places that data inside separate topic and reply admin lists, which is right for editing one post and unhelpful for almost everything moderators do at the cohort level. A unified queryable table answers the questions managers actually ask: who is the daily queue, who is helpful, which forum needs a stickied topic.

Same bbPress posts, same author_ids, completely different decision posture. The table renders the forum bbPress already runs as an auditable cohort, which is the difference between knowing topics exist and knowing how the forum is doing this week.

Questions

Yes. forum_id stored as bbPress post meta is a first-class filter, so a saved view can scope to one forum, a forum category or any set of forums.

Yes. _bbp_reply_count is a first-class sortable column. Common saved views surface power participants by ordering descending.

No. SleekView reads bbPress and Ultimate Member data directly, so no second tracker is installed and the audit table reflects the same numbers profile pages show.

Yes. Any filtered cohort exports as CSV with the same columns the view shows, including author_id, post_type, forum_id and post_date.

Yes. SleekView views can be private to a user or shared with specific roles. Community managers, moderators and forum admins each get their own slice.

No by default. The table is read-only over bbPress posts and UM usermeta. Row-level edits or moderation actions can be enabled through bbPress and Ultimate Member hooks.

Yes. The chart view and table view share the dataset, so filters for last-30-days or one forum narrow both surfaces. Managers pivot between row audit and chart summary.
