SleekView for WooCommerce Measurement Price Calculator: priced units as tables

Measurement Price Calculator stores unit settings in _measurement_* postmeta and writes ordered quantities to wp_woocommerce_order_itemmeta. SleekView reads both so unit-priced products audit, edit, and report in one screen.

SleekView table view for WooCommerce Measurement Price Calculator

Unit-priced products in one place

Measurement Price Calculator turns a WooCommerce product into one that is sold by length, area, volume, weight, or a custom unit. The plugin stores its configuration in postmeta keys under the _measurement_* prefix, including _measurement_price_calculator for the calculator mode, _measurement_unit for the unit, and the price-per-unit value. Selected quantities appear at checkout in wp_woocommerce_order_itemmeta as a measurement-tagged meta key.

The default WooCommerce admin shows whether a product is sold by measurement but cannot answer cross-catalogue questions: which products use which unit, which have a minimum order quantity configured, which are pricing per square metre rather than per linear metre. SleekView reads _measurement_* postmeta across every product and exposes calculator mode, unit, price per unit, and min and max quantity as first-class columns.

Inline edits to unit, price per unit, and min and max quantities route through WooCommerce CRUD plus the plugin's own update path so the calculator's cached configuration and front-end labels stay correct. A second view joins order_itemmeta to show actual ordered quantities per product over time.

Workflow

How SleekView assembles the Measurement Price Calculator view

1

Pick the source

Select products filtered to those with non-empty _measurement_price_calculator postmeta. Optionally join order_itemmeta for ordered unit totals.
2

Compose the column set

Add product, calculator mode, unit, price per unit, and min and max quantity. Pivot in stock status and date last edited for ops context.
3

Save and scope the view

Name it ("Products without minimums", "Per-m² priced") and gate it by capability so each team sees the right slice.
4

Edit inline or bulk

Update price per unit or min and max quantities. Writes route through CRUD plus the plugin's update path so cached labels stay correct.

Sample columns

A typical Measurement Price Calculator view

One row per measurement-priced product with unit, price per unit, and min order quantity.
Source: wp_posts (post_type=product) + wp_postmeta (_measurement_*) + wp_woocommerce_order_itemmeta
Product Mode Unit Price / unit Min qty Status
Carpet by the metre Linear m $24.00 1.0 Active
Glass cut to size Area €85.00 0.25 Active
Bulk grain Weight kg £3.50 5.0 Low stock
Custom rope Linear m $2.20 1.0 Out of stock

Comparison

Default Measurement Price Calculator admin vs SleekView

Default Measurement Price Calculator admin

  • Unit settings are only editable inside the per-product screen
  • Cross-product audits (which products use m² vs m) need SQL on _measurement_*
  • Min and max quantity rules are not surfaced in any list
  • Bulk price-per-unit changes are not built in
  • Actual ordered quantity totals from order_itemmeta are not aggregated

SleekView

  • Read _measurement_* postmeta across every product
  • Surface calculator mode, unit, price per unit, min and max quantity as columns
  • Filter products by unit, mode, or whether minimums are configured
  • Inline-edit price per unit with CRUD writes that fire plugin hooks
  • Join order_itemmeta to total ordered units per product

Features

What SleekView gives you for WooCommerce Measurement Price Calculator

Unit catalogue

List every measurement-priced product with mode, unit, and price per unit side by side. Pricing inconsistencies (e.g. m² vs m for similar products) surface immediately.

Min and max filters

Filter products by configured min and max quantity, or by absence of either, so missing constraints are auditable across the catalogue rather than product by product.

Inline unit edits

Edit price per unit and min and max quantities in place. Writes route through WooCommerce CRUD plus the plugin's update path so cached configuration stays correct.

Audience

Who uses SleekView for WooCommerce Measurement Price Calculator

Merchandising

Sort products by unit and price per unit to align pricing across similar items. Missing minimums and inconsistent units are visible at a glance.

Finance

Sum ordered units across products by joining order_itemmeta for measurement-tagged keys. Per-unit revenue attribution becomes a saved view.

Catalog ops

Bulk-adjust price per unit when raw material costs shift, with writes routed through CRUD so the calculator's cached labels and front-end pricing stay correct.

The bigger picture

Why a cross-product unit table matters

Measurement Price Calculator is the plugin that lets a store sell carpet, glass, grain, rope, or anything else priced by unit instead of by piece, which makes it powerful in narrow catalogues and unmanageable in broad ones. The default admin shows whether each product is measurement-priced, but never compares units, never highlights missing minimums, and never aggregates ordered quantities. The data is all there in _measurement_* postmeta and in the order item meta keys the plugin writes, but it lives behind per-product screens.

SleekView reads the same postmeta the plugin writes, joins it to actual ordered quantities, and exposes the result as a sortable, filterable, editable table. Merchandising can finally align pricing across similar units. Finance can finally attribute per-unit revenue.

Catalog ops can finally bulk-adjust price per unit when raw material costs move. The plugin still owns the calculator; SleekView turns the catalogue into a working surface.
