Any model your xAI key has access to. As of 2025 that includes Grok-3, Grok-3-mini, Grok-2, and Grok-2-mini. The dropdown is configurable, so when xAI ships new variants (Grok-3.5 or Grok-4) you add them without a plugin update. Tier limits are enforced by xAI, not by SleekAI.
Do my prompts pass through any SleekAI server?
No. The chat request goes from the visitor’s browser to your WordPress server, where SleekAI assembles the system prompt and hits xAI.
How does Grok pricing compare to GPT and Claude?
Grok-3-mini sits around 30 cents per million input tokens and 50 cents per million output as of 2025, comparable to GPT-4o-mini. Grok-3 is in the GPT-4o range. For most WordPress chat workloads the per-chat cost lands within a tenth of a cent of GPT-4o-mini, so the choice is about tone and quota, not price.
Does Grok handle live web data?
xAI promotes Grok as having access to fresh X data, but the API surface SleekAI uses is the standard chat completion endpoint, which does not auto-browse the web. If you want fresh data in the prompt, surface it through SleekAI’s variable mapper as you would for any provider. The model does not retrieve on its own here.
What about streaming?
Streaming is enabled by default. SleekAI uses xAI’s Server-Sent Events streaming and pipes tokens to the chat widget as they arrive.
Can I mix Grok with other providers?
Yes. Provider is a per-chatbot setting. Run your support bot on Grok-3-mini and your sales bot on Claude Sonnet on the same site if you want. Variable mappings, display conditions, and conversation logs all work identically regardless of which provider serves a given chat.
