SleekPixel for Post Types Unlimited custom post types
Post Types Unlimited registers your custom post types and their meta and taxonomies in a single admin screen. SleekPixel hooks into each of them, mapping the registered fields into a branded OG image so every entry has a card built from its own data.

From a registered CPT to a per-entry social card
Post Types Unlimited is the lightweight alternative to heavier CPT plugins. It registers post types, custom fields, and taxonomies in one place, storing them in the post_types_unlimited option group and writing entries to wp_posts with the chosen post_type value. Field values live in wp_postmeta against each entry. That structure is everything SleekPixel needs to render a per-entry card.
You pick a SleekPixel template, point it at a CPT registered through Post Types Unlimited, and map template slots to the registered field keys. A case study CPT might map client_name, industry, and outcome_metric. A property CPT might map price, bedrooms, and the address taxonomy. Each save runs the template against the entry's fields and writes a real PNG to the uploads directory.
Since Post Types Unlimited exposes its registered fields through a stable option, SleekPixel detects them automatically. Adding a field to the CPT in Post Types Unlimited makes that field available as a template variable on the next admin load, without any code changes.

Comparison
Default theme OG vs SleekPixel for Post Types Unlimited
Theme logo on every CPT entry
- Every custom post type entry shares one generic OG image in shares
- Custom fields registered via Post Types Unlimited never appear in previews
- Taxonomy terms attached to entries are invisible to social platforms

Features
What SleekPixel gives you for Post Types Unlimited
Field-aware templates
SleekPixel reads the field definitions Post Types Unlimited registers and exposes each field as a template variable. The case study CPT shows its real fields, not a generic field list.
Taxonomy integration
Any taxonomy attached to a Post Types Unlimited CPT is queryable in the template. Industry, category, region, or status terms render as live badges on the card without extra configuration.
Save-time generation
When an entry is published or edited, SleekPixel renders the card and stores it as a real attachment. Updates re-render automatically. There is no separate publishing step.
Use cases
Where Post Types Unlimited sites benefit most
Case study libraries
Marketing teams that publish case studies as a CPT through Post Types Unlimited get a card-per-study, with client and metric pulled from the registered fields.
Awards and recognitions
An award CPT with year, category, and recipient fields renders a per-award card with the recipient's name and year as live data on every share.
Event and session listings
A session CPT registered with speaker, room, and time fields produces session-specific cards for conference shares, not the conference logo on every link.
The bigger picture
Lightweight CPTs still deserve heavyweight social cards
Post Types Unlimited is chosen for simplicity. A small team can register a case study CPT in five minutes without writing PHP. The cost of that simplicity used to be: there is no design system for what those entries look like in social media.
SleekPixel removes that cost. Once Post Types Unlimited has registered a CPT, SleekPixel sees its fields and its taxonomies and lets you bind a template to it. Every entry of that CPT inherits the template.
The card uses the entry's real title, real featured image, real field values, and real taxonomy terms. There is no copying values into a design tool. Adding a new field to the CPT through Post Types Unlimited makes it available as a template variable on the next admin reload.
Adding a new entry produces a new card on save. The CPT and its social presence stay in sync as the site evolves, which is the point of registering a CPT in the first place. Without per-CPT cards, registering structure for content does not change anything about how the content is shared.
Questions
Common questions about SleekPixel for Post Types Unlimited
Yes. SleekPixel reads the post_types_unlimited option that the plugin writes to and lists each registered CPT in its admin. You assign a template per post type and SleekPixel hooks into save_post_{post_type} automatically.
Yes. Field definitions registered through Post Types Unlimited are exposed in the SleekPixel template editor. Each field key becomes a draggable variable that maps to a slot on the card.

Yes. SleekPixel queries wp_term_relationships for each entry and renders the relevant taxonomy terms as configured in the template. Industry, category, region, status, and any other registered taxonomy can show as a badge or footer label.
It appears as an available variable in the SleekPixel template editor on the next admin load. Existing entries can be regenerated to pick up the new field via the bulk regenerate command for that CPT.
Yes. Each registered CPT gets its own template binding. A case study CPT can use a case-study template, an award CPT can use an award template, and an event CPT can use an event template. They render independently of each other.

Yes. Each card is rendered server-side on save and saved to the uploads directory as a PNG file. The PNG is then attached to the entry and referenced by the og:image meta tag in the head of that entry's page.
Yes. SleekPixel ships a WP-CLI command and an admin action that walks every entry of a chosen post type and regenerates the card in background batches. A library of 500 entries refreshes without blocking the admin.

No. SleekPixel does not assume Post Types Unlimited is the only source of CPTs. Post types registered via CPT UI, ACF, Meta Box, or hand-rolled register_post_type calls all appear in the SleekPixel admin and can have templates assigned in parallel.
