SleekView Charts dashboard for Advanced CF7

From CF7 submission capture to a dashboard

Contact Form 7 by default sends submissions as email and stores nothing. Advanced CF7 fixes that by persisting each submission to a database table, with timestamps, source form and field values exposed for triage. The plugin's admin lists those submissions and lets the team inspect them, which is exactly what the original CF7 lacks.

SleekView Charts goes one step further. It reads the Advanced CF7 storage layer and renders the result as a configurable dashboard. A Number card for total submissions this month, a Pie for entries per form (CF7 forms live in wpcf7_contact_form), a Bar for field-level fill rate, an Area trending volume per week so the team can see whether the install is growing or going quiet.

The dashboard is read-only against Advanced CF7's data, so the plugin keeps owning capture and the admin screens it already provides. SleekView Charts only adds the aggregate read.

Workflow

From Advanced CF7 submissions to chart cards

1

Connect the table

SleekView reads Advanced CF7's submissions table directly and joins each row to the wpcf7_contact_form post that produced it.
2

Pick the dimensions

Choose form_id, submitted_at or any captured field value as the groupBy axis. Number cards skip groupBy for site-wide KPIs.
3

Compose the cards

Mix Number, Pie, Bar, Area and Radar cards. Pick aggregation, color and description per card.
4

Save and reuse

Save the dashboard as a SleekView with role-based gating. Cards refresh against live data on each load.

Charts you can build from Advanced CF7 data

Advanced CF7 turns Contact Form 7 into a plugin that persists data. SleekView Charts turns that data into dashboards covering volume, form mix and field hygiene.

Submissions this month

Single KPI counting submissions with a submitted_at inside the current month, the top-of-dashboard pulse.
Count
Pie · Donut

Entries per form

Donut breakdown of submissions across every wpcf7_contact_form on the install, surfacing which form drives the bulk of activity.
Count group by form_id
Bar · Horizontal

Field fill rate

Horizontal bar of non-empty values per field, exposing optional fields nobody answers across the CF7 catalog.

Comparison

Default Advanced CF7 reporting vs SleekView Charts

Default Advanced CF7 admin

  • Advanced CF7's admin list is chronological with no aggregate rollup.
  • No native KPI tile for total submissions or weekly volume.
  • Field fill rates are invisible without per-submission inspection.
  • Cross-form summaries on CF7 installs require manual counting.
  • Trend charts on submission cadence are not part of the UI.

SleekView Charts

  • Reads Advanced CF7's submissions table and joins to wpcf7_contact_form.
  • Number, Pie, Bar, Area, Line, Radar and Radial card types in one dashboard.
  • Group by form_id, submitted_at or any captured field value.
  • Aggregations cover count, sum, average, minimum and maximum.
  • Same dataset feeds the SleekView table and kanban views.

Features

What SleekView Charts gives you for Advanced CF7

Reporting on top of capture

Advanced CF7 captures the data, SleekView Charts adds the aggregate read CF7 has always lacked.

Cross-form field audit

Horizontal Bar across field names reveals which optional asks rarely get answered across every form on the install.

Volume trend

Area and Line cards plot submitted_at bucketed weekly so campaigns and seasonality become a visible pattern.

Audience

Who builds Advanced CF7 charts dashboards with SleekView

CF7 installs that switched to persisted storage

Sites that adopted Advanced CF7 for the capture finally get the reporting layer the combo was always missing.

Agencies maintaining multiple CF7 sites

One SleekView dashboard template applies across client sites, each with its own form catalog and submission volume.

Form designers iterating on CF7 markup

Field-fill bar exposes which optional CF7 fields nobody completes, ready for the next markup pass.

The bigger picture

Capture without reporting is half a feature

Contact Form 7 made a deliberate decision early on to not persist submissions, leaving the job to companion plugins like Flamingo or Advanced CF7. That decision keeps CF7 small, and it pushes the responsibility for reporting downstream. Advanced CF7 picks up the capture side cleanly.

SleekView Charts picks up the read. Together they turn a CF7 install into something an editorial lead, marketing manager or support lead can actually report on without exporting CSV. The plugin keeps owning the persistence, the dashboard owns the chart-shaped questions, and the team running the site stops working blind.

Questions

Common questions about SleekView Charts for Advanced CF7

Yes, Advanced CF7 is a Contact Form 7 extension. SleekView Charts reads Advanced CF7's storage and joins to the wpcf7_contact_form posts CF7 already manages.

No. Flamingo and Advanced CF7 both persist CF7 submissions, in different tables. SleekView Charts can read either, so the install can stick with whichever it already uses.

Yes. Every captured CF7 field becomes a column, so a Pie or Bar can group on your-email, your-message or any custom tag the form uses.

If Advanced CF7 records a spam flag on a submission, any chart card can filter on it. Spam can sit in its own dashboard or be excluded from main volume counts.

No. Cards only render in WP Admin and read from the persisted submission table. Front-end CF7 submission flow is untouched.

If Advanced CF7 captures uploaded file paths in the submission record, those columns surface in the dashboard. Cards can count submissions with attachments or filter to entries that include a file.

Yes. Any filtered set behind a chart card exports with the same columns the SleekView table would show, ready for board reports or external tools.

CF7's mail handling runs on submit and is independent of the persistence layer. SleekView Charts reads what Advanced CF7 stored, regardless of which recipient address the original mail went to.
