SleekView Charts for Caldera Forms

Caldera Forms is unmaintained but the data is fine: cf_form_entries, cf_form_entry_values, cf_form_entry_meta. SleekView Charts reads those tables directly and aggregates submissions into number, pie, bar, and area cards for legacy sites and migration audits.

SleekView Charts dashboard for Caldera Forms

Caldera entries as a real dashboard

Caldera Forms stopped getting updates years ago but many sites still rely on it for legacy submissions and compliance retention. The three submission tables (cf_form_entries, cf_form_entry_values, cf_form_entry_meta) are normalized and stable, but the default admin screen lists entries one form at a time with limited filters and no rollup.

SleekView Charts reads the same tables SleekView's view tool reads and aggregates them. A Number card totals submissions this month across every form. A Donut splits captures by form so the contact form, the newsletter form, and the job application each get a slice. A Bar ranks forms by submission count. An Area card plots daily volume from cf_form_entries.date_created so the inbox shape becomes visible.

The plugin is frozen, the schema is stable, and the dashboard works without depending on the plugin's UI. Useful for legacy sites holding onto Caldera, compliance teams running audits, and ops teams planning migrations off it.

Workflow

From three tables to a dashboard

1

Pick the source tables

SleekView Charts reads cf_form_entries directly and joins cf_form_entry_values and cf_form_entry_meta where needed for field-level grouping.
2

Pick groupings

Group by form_id for share charts, by date_created for trend lines, by status for outcome mix, by any field value from the joined values table.
3

Compose the dashboard

Four cards: monthly entries Number, form-mix Donut, top-forms Bar, daily-volume Area.
4

Use it for migration audits

Inventory entries by form and field before migrating off Caldera. The dashboard surfaces what data needs to move and where it lives.

Sample dashboard

Charts you can build from Caldera Forms data

Four cards that turn the per-form admin into a real reporting layer over the legacy schema.
Number · Default

Entries this month

Total rows in cf_form_entries with date_created in the current month, across every form on the site.
Count
Pie · Donut

Entries by form

Donut splitting submissions by form_id with form names resolved. The mix shows which legacy forms still carry volume.
Count group by form_id
Bar · Horizontal

Top forms by entries

Horizontal ranking of forms by entry count. Migration planning starts with the forms that matter.
Count group by form_id
Area · Gradient

Daily entries

Daily entry volume across every form from the indexed date_created column. Trend over time without exporting CSVs.

Comparison

Default Caldera Forms reporting vs SleekView Charts

Default Caldera entries screen

  • Entries shown per form with no rollup chart
  • No daily volume trend across the site
  • No share-by-form pie or ranked bar
  • Status mix only visible per row, not aggregated
  • Migration audits require manual SQL or CSV exports

SleekView Charts

  • Number card totals monthly entries across every form
  • Donut splits captures by form with names resolved
  • Bar ranks forms so migration planning starts with the heavy hitters
  • Area card plots daily volume from the indexed date_created column
  • Reads three tables directly without depending on Caldera's frozen UI

Features

What SleekView Charts gives you for Caldera Forms

Cross-form rollup

Number plus Donut surfaces the headline and the mix across every Caldera form on the site. The per-form admin never offered this view.

Migration audit support

Before moving off Caldera, the Bar card ranks forms so the migration plan starts with the forms that carry the data.

Independent of plugin UI

Caldera is unmaintained but the schema is stable. The dashboard reads tables directly, so it works even if the plugin's own UI breaks under newer WordPress versions.

Audience

Who builds Caldera Forms charts dashboards with SleekView

Support on legacy sites

Daily volume and status mix on one screen. Support reads the inbox shape without depending on Caldera's admin filters.

Compliance retention teams

Monthly entry totals and form rankings support audit responses. Filter the dashboard and the totals export to CSV for the requester.

Migration planners

Inventory before cutover: the Bar card ranks forms, the Donut shows the mix, the migration plan follows the data.

The bigger picture

Why frozen plugins still need real reporting

Caldera Forms has been unmaintained for years but the data it collected over those years still matters. Sites that rely on Caldera for legacy submissions, compliance retention, or pre-migration inventory need a reporting layer that does not depend on the plugin's own UI improving. SleekView Charts reads the three normalized tables directly, joins them on entry ID, and aggregates the results into a dashboard.

Support sees the inbox shape, compliance sees the totals, migration planners see the form ranking. The plugin stays frozen, the data stays accessible, the team stays informed.

Questions

Common questions about SleekView Charts for Caldera Forms

Yes. SleekView Charts reads cf_form_entries, cf_form_entry_values, and cf_form_entry_meta directly. The schema does not change once the plugin stops getting updates, so the dashboard keeps working as long as those tables exist on your site.

Yes. The default groupings include form_id, so a single dashboard rolls up every form on the site. Filter to one form when you need that detail, but the rollup is the value the per-form admin never offered.

Caldera writes only the values for fields that were active under the logic for that submission. When charting by field value, rows where the field did not fire simply do not contribute to that group. Predictable and consistent.

Yes. Any aggregated chart exports as CSV with the same grouping the chart uses. Useful for migrations, audit responses, or sending a summary to a colleague.

No. The dashboard is read-only over the database tables. Caldera's submission flow, email notifications, and integrations all continue exactly as before. SleekView Charts only adds a reporting layer on top.

Queries hit indexed columns on cf_form_entries (entry ID, form ID, date_created, user ID) directly. Field-value aggregations join cf_form_entry_values scoped to the columns the dashboard uses. Long compliance archives stay responsive.

If your Caldera install collected payment data via an add-on writing to cf_form_entry_meta, yes. The dashboard joins meta and charts payment status, amount, or gateway as needed.

Yes. The Bar card ranks forms by entry count, the Donut shows the mix, and the Number gives the total. Migration plans start with the forms that carry the data and skip the ones with five entries from 2018.
