Add-on choices already live on every order, charts make them readable

YITH WooCommerce Product Add-Ons writes its block configurations into product postmeta and serialises the customer's choices into order item meta on every line that uses an add-on. The default admin shows them as plain strings under each order line, which makes any cross-store question a manual aggregation job.

SleekView reads wc_order_itemmeta alongside wc_order_items, parses the add-on line entries, and exposes them as columns: block label, option name, option price. Charts then turns those columns into a dashboard with revenue, attach-rate, and top-blocks views.

The dashboard stays on the WooCommerce side of the data. It charts what add-on revenue the store has already booked and which blocks customers actually picked, leaving raw plugin configuration to YITH's own screens.

Workflow

From order line add-ons to chart cards in four steps

1

Connect the orders dataset

SleekView reads wc_orders joined with wc_order_items and wc_order_itemmeta, which is where YITH stores the per-line add-on selections.
2

Parse the add-on meta

Add-on label and price come from itemmeta keys YITH writes; SleekView turns them into chartable columns automatically.
3

Add four chart cards

Number for total add-on revenue, Pie for top blocks, Bar for blocks per product, Area for daily uplift.
4

Save and share the dashboard

The saved view sits alongside the orders Table and Kanban for store managers, finance, and marketing.

Sample dashboard

Charts you can build from YITH WooCommerce Product Add-Ons data

Four cards covering add-on revenue, top-selling blocks, attach-rate by product, and daily uplift from add-on lines.
Number · Default

Add-on revenue

Sum of the price portion attributed to add-on selections across completed orders. The headline metric for any add-on review.
Sum(addon_line_total)
Bar · Horizontal

Top add-on blocks

Horizontal bar of block labels by selection count, showing which add-on questions customers actually engage with.
Count group by addon_label
Pie · Donut

Selected options mix

Donut breakdown of selected option values within the most-used blocks, useful for spotting unused options that can be retired.
Count group by addon_option
Area · Gradient

Add-on uplift per day

Area chart of daily add-on revenue, so a promo run on optional extras shows its impact on the dashboard rather than in a spreadsheet.
Sum(addon_line_total) group by date_paid

Comparison

Default YITH Product Add-Ons reporting vs SleekView Charts

Default YITH Add-Ons screens and WooCommerce reports

  • Add-on choices appear as plain strings on each order line, never aggregated.
  • Revenue attributable to add-ons isn't broken out by WooCommerce reports.
  • Top blocks or top options across the catalog need a custom SQL query.
  • Attach rate per product requires manual joining of order items with product IDs.
  • Time series of add-on revenue is a missing chart in the default admin.

SleekView Charts

  • Reads wc_order_itemmeta directly, so add-on labels and prices become columns.
  • Group by block label, option name, or product to slice add-on data any way.
  • Number cards turn add-on revenue into a headline KPI.
  • Same dataset powers the orders Table and Kanban without rebuilding queries.
  • Filters carry from view scope to every chart card on the dashboard.

Features

Audience

Who builds YITH WooCommerce Product Add-Ons charts dashboards with SleekView

Personalisation-heavy stores

Engraving, gift wrap, and message add-ons get a revenue KPI plus per-block usage chart, so the team knows which options to keep.

Finance

Add-on revenue separated from base SKU revenue, useful for margin analysis where labour costs differ per option.

Merchandisers

Attach-rate per product highlights which catalog pages convert well on add-ons and which need a UX rework.

The bigger picture

Add-ons are revenue, they deserve to live in a dashboard

Product add-ons quietly add a meaningful percentage to AOV on personalisation-heavy stores, yet WooCommerce's default reports lump them into the line totals without breaking them out. The data is already there: every selected add-on is recorded as order item meta on the line it belongs to. SleekView Charts surfaces that data as real columns and turns it into a Number, Bar, Pie, and Area dashboard.

Merchandising sees which blocks customers engage with, finance sees the revenue split, and marketing sees the daily trend. The plugin still owns the add-on UX and the cart logic; SleekView Charts visualises what every paid order has already recorded.

Questions

Common questions about SleekView Charts for YITH WooCommerce Product Add-Ons

From wc_order_itemmeta. YITH writes label, selected option, and price as meta keys on each order line, and SleekView reads them as columns.

Yes. On HPOS the source is wc_orders + wc_order_itemmeta. On legacy stores it's wp_posts + wp_woocommerce_order_itemmeta. The chart cards don't change.

Yes. Scope the view by product ID and every chart card inherits the filter, so a single-product dashboard runs the same as a catalog-wide one.

The price portion stored on the line is what SleekView aggregates, whether the original config was flat or percentage. Charts work against the realised currency value.

Yes. YITH stores selections uniformly in itemmeta regardless of whether the block was a checkbox, dropdown, or text field. The chart sees label and value either way.

Attach rate is orders containing at least one add-on divided by total orders in scope. The view exposes both as columns so a Number card can show the ratio directly.

Yes. SleekView exports the underlying view as CSV or JSON, including the parsed add-on columns, so spreadsheets and BI tools can take over from there.

YITH Product Add-Ons doesn't ship deep reports of its own. SleekView Charts fills that gap by reading the order tables WooCommerce already maintains.
