SleekView for SSL Zen

SSL Zen issues Lets Encrypt certificates from inside WordPress and writes their state to options: certificate metadata, renewal target, ACME verification result, forced-HTTPS flag. SleekView renders the fleet as a sortable, filterable renewal grid.

ACME state is data. Render it as a renewal queue.

SSL Zen by SSL Zen issues free Lets Encrypt certificates from inside WordPress: it generates the CSR, verifies domain ownership via HTTP-01 (or DNS-01 in Premium), installs the certificate on supported hosts and keeps a renewal schedule. The state of each issued certificate lives in WordPress options: certificate metadata, renewal target date, verification method, last verification result, forced-HTTPS toggle.

SleekView reads those options across one site or every site in a multisite. Each row carries the site, the verification method, the days remaining, the last verification result, the renewal target and the status. Sort by days remaining to see the next renewal in the queue. Filter to verification_result = failed for an ACME triage view. Scope to under-7-day certificates for the immediate work list.

The plugin still owns issuance, verification and installation. SleekView is the reading surface for the option data SSL Zen maintains, with WP-native filters shared between the table view and any chart cards built on the same dataset.

Workflow

Turn SSL Zen options into a renewal grid

1

Read the SSL Zen options

SleekView detects SSL Zen and lists its option entries: certificate metadata, renewal target, verification method, verification result and forced-HTTPS state on one site or every site in a multisite.
2

Map the columns

Site, verification method, days remaining, last verification, renewal target, status. Six columns answer the questions a renewal team asks every Monday morning.
3

Save the queue views

Save a view filtered to days remaining < 7, another to verification_result = failed, another to a single host for an ACME triage. Each one becomes a one-click cockpit.
4

Drill or export

Click a row to open the SSL Zen settings on that site, or export the filtered set to CSV. Renewal work becomes a shareable queue, not a calendar reminder.

Comparison

Default SSL Zen admin vs SleekView

Default SSL Zen admin

  • Certificate status is shown per site, no aggregate renewal queue
  • No saved view for under-7-day certificates
  • Filtering to a single verification method needs URL parameter tricks
  • Failed verifications are visible per site, not as a cross-site list
  • No CSV export of a filtered queue for the renewal team

SleekView

  • One row per site with method, days remaining and verification result
  • Sortable columns for days remaining and renewal target
  • Saved view for under-7-day certificates or failed verifications
  • Spot the host whose HTTP-01 is intermittently failing before expiry
  • Export any filtered set to CSV with active filters preserved

Features

What SleekView gives you for SSL Zen

Renewal queue as a grid

Render SSL Zen's options across every site as a sortable table. Renewal teams see the queue on one screen instead of a calendar reminder.

Saved views per concern

Save a view for under-7-day certificates and another for failed verifications. The renewal team has one screen per concern instead of a spreadsheet.

Share with the renewal team

Export any filtered slice to CSV with active filters preserved. Renewal work becomes a shareable queue, not an internal-only chore.

Audience

Who uses SleekView for SSL Zen

Agency ops

Open one grid scoped to the client portfolio: method, days remaining, last verification. The renewal queue is one screen, not a spreadsheet.

Hosting and DevOps

Pin a view filtered to verification_result = failed. Spot the host whose HTTP-01 is intermittently failing weeks before the certificate expires.

Compliance reviewers

Use the active-certificate KPI and renewal column as evidence of HTTPS coverage. Export the audit set to CSV for security questionnaires.

The bigger picture

Why free certificates still need a working queue

Lets Encrypt is fantastic at making certificates cheap. It is not by itself the answer to keeping a fleet of WordPress sites in good standing. Certificates renew every ninety days, verification depends on DNS or webserver state that can drift, and there is always one site whose renewal quietly fails on the wrong host.

SSL Zen automates the issuance and renewal, then writes the result to WordPress options. SleekView leaves issuance and verification entirely with the plugin and lays a working grid over the options. An agency tracks renewals across a portfolio.

A DevOps lead spots a slow-failing host. A compliance reviewer gets the HTTPS-coverage picture as a live link. Same plugin, same Lets Encrypt flow, much better renewal surface.
