SleekView Kanban for WishList Member
WishList Member stores each membership level assignment in wlm user meta and tracks per-level state with values like Active, Cancelled, Expired, and Incomplete, plus pay-per-post sequence positions. SleekView Kanban reads that meta and turns the state column into draggable columns, one card per member.

Read WishList Member levels as a board, not a per-member detail view
WishList Member writes each member's level assignment into wp_usermeta under the wlm_levels key plus per-level state keys. State values include Active, Cancelled, Expired, Incomplete, and pay-per-post positions. The plugin also stores last-payment status and the next billing event per level via gateway metadata that lands on the user profile. The default Manage Members screen lists members across all levels and filters by one state at a time.
SleekView Kanban reads wp_usermeta for the wlm keys and joins to wp_users. It groups members by the level state for a chosen membership level and shows one card per member. Card titles use display_name, meta lines show the level name, the recurring price configured on that level, the next billing date pulled from gateway meta, and the last payment status. Filter the board by level, by gateway, by signup date, or by any custom wlm meta key like sequence position.
Drag a card from Active into Cancelled and SleekView calls the WLM cancellation action so gateway subscriptions stay in sync and content protection rules recompute. Drag a card from Incomplete into Active to manually unlock a member after a successful manual charge. Failed writes leave the card in its column and surface the gateway error on the card front so the operator can fix the underlying issue.

Comparison
Default WishList Member screen vs SleekView Kanban
Default WLM members list
- Manage Members screen filters to one state at a time, so dunning and active never appear together
- Cancellation requires a per-member edit screen round trip, no batch drag of expired members
- No card layout, so member, level, recurring price, and last payment status never share one tile
- Incomplete signups are buried in the list rather than leading the daily review queue
- Trial members and full-price members look identical in the default table view

Reads
wp_usermetawlm keys live, no external cache or scheduled sync - Drag-and-drop writes fire the WLM cancellation action so gateway state stays correct
- Filter by membership level, gateway, signup date, or any custom wlm meta key
- Card meta supports computed values, e.g. days since last successful charge
- Per-role visibility, so support agents see the board read-only while billing can move cards
Features
What SleekView Kanban gives you for WishList Member
State writes back to WishList Member
Dragging into Cancelled fires the official WLM cancellation action, which cancels the gateway subscription, updates wlm level state in usermeta, and runs the WLM hooks for content protection updates. Failed writes leave the card in its original column with the gateway error on the front.
Filter per level, per gateway
Stack filters for membership level, for gateway, for trial vs paid, for sequence position on pay-per-post levels, or for any custom wlm meta key. Save filter sets per board so dunning, onboarding, and renewal boards each open scoped to their slice.
Member context on every card
Card titles show display_name. Meta lines show level name, recurring price, next billing event, last payment status, and gateway. Click a card to open the WLM Manage Member screen for the full record without losing the board state.
Audience
Where WishList Member sites put the Kanban board
Dunning recovery review
An Expired column scoped to last 30 days lists members whose last charge failed. Billing reads the gateway error on each card and drags recovered members back to Active after a successful manual retry.
Incomplete signup queue
Incomplete members from the last 14 days appear in a dedicated column. The signup desk works the queue card by card, sending a follow-up payment link and tagging recovered signups for the welcome sequence.
Renewal nudge desk
Filter the Active column to next billing event inside the next 7 days. Customer success picks the cards that match the highest-LTV members and sends a personal pre-renewal email or upgrade offer.
The bigger picture
Why the kanban view matters for WishList Member
WishList Member stores rich state per member, per level, but it surfaces that state through a per-member edit screen and a paginated members table. For sites running several levels at once, that UI hides the questions an operator actually needs answered. How many Inner Circle members are stuck in Incomplete after signup.
How many trial members will auto-convert tomorrow and who needs a personal note first. How many members expired this week with a recoverable card error. A kanban board groups members by level state and shows those questions next to each other on one screen, with one card per member.
Because the board reads wlm usermeta live and writes back through the documented WLM actions, it is not a parallel system. It is the same state the rest of the site checks for content protection, simply rendered as columns. The result is that operators can act on the recurring-revenue questions without ever opening a member edit screen until they actually need to.
Questions
Common questions about SleekView Kanban for WishList Member
Yes. Cancellation writes fire the official WLM cancellation action, which calls the gateway cancel API for Stripe, PayPal, or any supported gateway. The wlm level state in wp_usermeta updates and content protection rules recompute. Failed gateway calls leave the card in its original column with the error visible on the card front.
By default the wlm level states become columns: Active, Cancelled, Expired, and Incomplete. Pay-per-post levels can add sequence positions as additional columns so the operator sees who is on lesson 3 versus lesson 7. Hide columns you do not use and reorder them per board.
Yes. Each board scopes to one membership level, since states are per level. Build a separate board for each level, or build a switcher that swaps the level filter without leaving the page. The data source supports filtering on the level slug or the level ID.
Yes. WLM stores gateway metadata against the user profile. Card meta reads that gateway data and surfaces the last payment status, the last error, and the next billing event directly on each card. Cards in the Expired column show the failure reason so dunning is faster.
Yes. Pay-per-post stores sequence position in usermeta. Group the board by sequence position to see who is on which lesson, or filter to one position to find members who have been stuck on a given lesson for longer than a week.
SleekView paginates each column with a configurable card limit and reads wlm meta through indexed usermeta queries. Column counts cache per filter set so the board stays responsive on sites with tens of thousands of members across multiple levels.
Yes. Drag-and-drop writes are gated behind a WordPress capability. Common setups give billing roles full write access and give support roles read-only cards. Click-through to the WLM member edit screen also respects WLM capability checks so support stays scoped to its lane.
No. The WishList Member admin remains the source of truth for membership levels, content protection rules, gateway settings, and pay-per-post sequences. SleekView Kanban is a reading and quick-action layer on top of the same wlm usermeta. Every card links to the underlying WLM member screen for full edits.
