Hypefury is a strong fit for writers who want an evergreen content engine on X. Queueing, retweeting, auto-plugs, conditional reposts: the scheduler is the product. What Hypefury is not is a per-post image renderer that knows about the underlying blog post in WordPress. The card attached to a Hypefury queue item is whatever was uploaded when the queue entry was built, and it lives inside Hypefury, not inside the post.

For writers running a WordPress site behind their X presence, that creates a duplication problem. The post has a title, an author, and a date in WordPress. The card has the same data, hard-coded into a Hypefury upload. Brand refresh means redoing every queue entry. A typo in the title means re-rendering and re-uploading. The system that should be a queue becomes a content store of partial duplicates.

SleekPixel renders the X card from the WordPress post on save, writes og:image and twitter:image meta into the post head, and stops there. Hypefury queues the WordPress URL the same way it queues any URL, and the preview is the SleekPixel-rendered card. Brand refresh is one template edit and a bulk regenerate. Typo fixes are a normal post edit. The queue stays a queue, the post stays the source of truth.

Storing the card inside the queue is the design choice that creates the upload-and-refresh tax on every brand change. The queue is a list of when to post, and the image attached to each entry is a snapshot from whenever the entry was built. That is fine for an ad-hoc social manager, but it does not match a WordPress writer's mental model where the post is the canonical artifact and everything else is a view of it.

Moving the card off the queue and onto the post resolves the mismatch. Hypefury keeps doing what it is good at, the post stays the source of truth, and brand refreshes flow through the system without manual queue maintenance. That separation tends to be invisible until the first brand update, at which point the cost of having the card duplicated across hundreds of queue entries becomes obvious.
