WP Idea Stream lets a WordPress community submit, comment on, and rate ideas. Under the hood it registers an ideas custom post type, a category-ideas and tag-ideas taxonomy, and uses standard wp_comments for discussion and rating. The plugin's archive template renders the feed for visitors, but the WordPress admin only offers a flat Posts-style list.

SleekView Charts reads the ideas CPT and joins it with comments and rating meta. A Number KPI counts active ideas. A Pie splits the pool by category. A Bar surfaces ideas with the most discussion. An Area chart trends submissions per week. The dashboard sits next to the table and kanban views, all on the same dataset, so moderators, leads, and stakeholders use one source.

Because everything reads through standard WP APIs, custom taxonomies, ratings stored as comment meta, and any plugin-added fields surface as joinable columns. A chart can group by category-ideas, average rating, or count comments without writing SQL or installing a separate report plugin.

WP Idea Stream gives a community a place to publish suggestions and discuss them. The maintainers running the project need a different lens than the visitors browsing the feed. They need to know how many ideas are open, how the pool splits across categories, which threads generated real discussion, and whether the rate of new submissions is climbing or flat.

The archive template does not answer those questions, and the Posts screen treats each idea as one more row. SleekView Charts reads the same ideas CPT, the category-ideas and tag-ideas taxonomies, and the comment data WP Idea Stream already produces, then renders the answers as Number, Pie, Bar, and Area cards. The plugin keeps owning the community surface; the dashboard adds the strategic one.
