MetaSlider is a long-standing WordPress slider plugin used for hero galleries, portfolio carousels, testimonial sliders, and product showcases. The slider builds the visual hero of the page. The share preview, however, is what someone sees in a tweet, a Slack channel, or an email before they click into the page. Default WordPress share-card behaviour falls back to the featured image (often a single slide) or the site logo, neither of which represents the slider's content.
SleekPixel handles the metadata layer MetaSlider does not try to touch. You build one template in the WordPress admin with dynamic fields like {post_title}, {category}, {client_name}, and any custom field on the post. Every save regenerates the OG image. The page that hosts the slider already has the title and category, and SleekPixel can render a designed card that summarises the page rather than dropping in one random slide.
SleekPixel does not modify MetaSlider itself, it works at the post level. MetaSlider keeps doing what it does: slide management, transitions, lightbox, captions, and links. Why slider-led pages need a designed share card
Sliders solve the in-page hero problem but they do not solve the share problem. Every share, retweet, and partner link points back to a URL where the slider lives, and the only thing the recipient sees in the share preview is whatever the OG image happens to be. Default behaviour grabs the featured image, which on slider-led pages is often the same single slide every page uses.
